checked out bbb thanks to barb's lead...this one is the perfefct width for us and is on sale (+20 % off obvi)...

ETA - it opens up so we can use it for stroage (boots and stuff that won't fit in the shoe bag) - great idea laura, thanks!!

ya know what, i have a similar concern! the rug is kinda bohemia/gypsy style and the ottoman may be too much for it. i think i'm gonna hold off for now and if/when i find the right one i'll go for it. i'm going to get the rug now (did pickup to save on delivery $ but now i'm so lazy and wishing i just had the darn thing delivered)....
