how can they make you wear a uniform because you are an assistant? I feel like that is profiling or harassment or some form of unfair treatment or something along those lines.

Everyone should be forced to wear a uniform!

Although at least you can save money and no longer purchase work clothing...

they make them because they are the face of the company when people walk into the office..

i get it... even thought it sucks... if there was a male receptionist im sure he would have to wear it too... not the pretty cardigan combo lol but to wear a blue shirt with the logo...

Well we are already held to a higher standard with our dress code. While the rest of the office is business casual, we're supposed to dress up more and we do. I'm prepared to blame my co-worker. She's wearing something that looks almost like a sweatshirt today. But then again, it's like 50 degrees in my office so I get why she's got it on.

thats bizarre... what exactly are they trying to get across with this cardigan combo... not even the slightest bit dressy

Trust me, this place is asss backwards. This is what they sit around and spend their time contemplating- how to pisss off the support staff today.

ETA: We'd also have blazers (embroidered with our logo ) to wear but wouldn't be required to wear them everyday. That's mostly for when the Firmwide Managing Partner is in town or we're hosting some event or important client meeting.

I would think so, too, but nobody is. Unless I'm the skankk? Could be.

ETA: My co-worker does have massive boobs but it's not her fault. And this is after a reduction. But this cardigan ain't gonna help that! lol!
