MIL may just be the death of me! My blood pressure is through the roof! Warning this may get long but I will just tell the basics. DH and I are house hunting, not too serious but we keep an eye on mls listing book and I have an aunt who is a RE agent so she is always looking and always willing to show us anything. MIL wants us to literally live in her back yard so she can still control her little boy......ummmmmm NO! I will not be exaggerating when I say she tells about houses everyday ( mind u they are waaaaay out of our price) tonight she calls about a house that we told her we already looked at and it had ZERO back yard an we really weren't interested, she says.....but there is a side yard....ok lady, I'm far from stupid the house is on a corner, the side yard is on the road, this house has been on the market for WELL over a year and has dropped over 40,000....no one else wants this house either, especially for the price. JUST STOP! Let u's look, you already ruined my wedding planning please stop ruining my house hunting! I know u hate me and don't think I'm good enough for your son, but you don't have a say anymore...I'm the new MRS P. in town....

I hear ya, we want to move out of state. HIs parents and MINE are saying they'll follow us.

I TOTALLY feel your pain! It's gotten to the point where MIL and FIL are putting the house up for sale and started looking in the places we want to buy a house...instead of east which is what they always said they wanted since it was cheaper...

DH and I NOW will not move or start looking until they have moved and settled in...AND we're not telling them anything until we are in contract!

sorry you have to deal with that crap ... it seriously is annoynig.

maybe you could tell her you stopped looking because you're trynig to save more money (or some BS like that) ... that way, she won't 'help'

Keep strong... and if she continues to be so annoying about it..........tell her that if she doesn't stop and let you and DH do this on your own - you'll be looking at houses in California!
