how do you shower
without washing your hair?the obvious answer, i would imagine, is with a shower cap (duh)...
Thing is, I want to wash my hair every other day or even every 2nd sometimes (it can last 2 days without getting oily) I just don't like the way I feel after not wetting my hair...
anyone use dry/powder shampoos?

Re: how do you shower
i 'wet' my hair every day, but i dont wash iti have curly and use product. my hairperson told me if i wet it a bit it will 'reactivate' the product, so i dont need to put in as much...and save damage from washing everyday
i know this probably doesnt help you tho....

Re: how do you shower
nope. i mostly wash it daily but on the days i dont have time to dry it or dont wanna bother i pull it back tight and shower, and then i flip over my dry hair and spray some hairspray and sometimes even give it a 30 second run with the blowdryer. then it usually feels just as fresh!

This is pretty much what I do, because I hate shower caps! I'm just careful not to wet it.

Re: how do you shower
I wrap a towel around my head and position the shower head so I can move around without it getting wet.

Re: how do you shower
I use the dry shampoo. It's bumble and bumble and it sprays brown (blonde, gray) Which is good for me because my hair is really thin on top.I also use good old cornstarch.

Re: how do you shower
Yes.. lol shower cap.I've realized that if I wear my hair up (HIGH up) when I go to bed I can get away with going 3 days w/o washing my hair. I use the refreshening spray though to keep it from getting smelly. I've only learned this recently but I realize that it might have something to do w/my hair being super thick.
I have used one of the dry shampoo's from sephora and... eh.

Re: how do you shower
I only wash my hair twice a week. Maybe even stretch it out further than that.I know that sounds gross to a lot of you guys but people with hair like mine know what I'm talking about.
All the processes I put my hair through are too damaging to do on a daily basis. My hair would be like... destroyed.
I wash it and blow it out. Sometimes flat iron it. It's better on day 2.
Depending on the weather it's often even better on day 3. I wear it in a pony tail for a day or two.
Now that I have bangs I will use dry shampoo or even baby powder on them in between washes.
I do a deep condition when I wash it over the weekend. I'll do a really fast shower and wash and apply the conditioner and then let that sit on while I take a bath and shave my legs and chill out in bath.
Obviously if I get really sweaty or if the weather is really humid or whatever I'll wash it more often. During the summer it's different too because I'm in the pool or at the beach and what not...
IT'S NOT GOOD TO WASH YOUR HAIR EVERY DAY. Unless you HAVE to. (Fine hair girls I'm looking at you.)

Re: how do you shower
Before getting pregnant, my hair got oily quickly, since I started taking prenatals, it only gets oily by the second day so now I'm every other day hair washer, and I usually just tie it back.

Re: how do you shower
I use a shower cap.I can not wash my hair & dry my hair every day. A couple of years ago I use to be able to get away with letting my hair air dry & it looking good. Not anymore. My hair has completely changed & I have to blow it out & flat iron it every time. So my cousin, who is a hair dresser, recommended that I wash my hair every three days. For the most part this schedule works well. I wash it much more often during the summer when its hot & when I am using the pool or at the beach.

Re: how do you shower
Shower cap most of the time but I LOVE my dry shampoo too. Its from Blow, the Blow Dry Bar on 14th Street, it has no bad odor and it works great!

Re: how do you shower
i dont wash my hair every day, especially if its straight. it will get too dried out. it takes about 3 days for my hair to look/get oily. multiple hair salons have told me not to wash it every day if you can get away with it.with that being said, if i am super lazy, i put it up in a bun and just shower....i just dont dunk my head. the edges get a little wet from the spray and moisture but i can usually towel dry and brush it out or give a quick blast with the blow dryer.
if i'm have a not so lazy day then i put it up in a bun and i put a plastic bag around it (think waldbaums) and i twist the excess bag and clip it to my head with a claw clip. shower caps never held my hair good and bags are free!
