like. but change 'she' to 'they' because i would bet money there are other like-minded people around who haven't spoken up yet.

True, but it's not worth my effort. People that are IGNORANT are always set in their ways. You can't change them, so why try?

And furthermore, it's incredibly fitting that the one thread this one responded to today was titled 'ignorant people'. Good job.

No no Kris, its just that white people never commit crimes against other white people ( ) only against people who don't look/act/talk like them but that's ok!!! Because those people are different! And that's bad.

i didnt really start this thread to cause , so i do appreciate those that are willing to speak their mind, even though it may come across as close-minded.

part of diversity is communication and understanding where we come from and what makes us who we are. we only learn from listening, so i am open to hearing others perspectives. i would just hope that others allow themselves to listen and hear others equally as well.

...again, im getting down off the proverbial soap box.

but before i do, NYC is one of the greatest cities on earth in part due to its welcoming nature of all races, cultures and creeds. if someone is not interested in embracing that, then, well, that is sad...

My parents encouraged me to do this.

They told me I can be with anyone I want, but to be careful of Greeks because they can be very traditional!

Figures I'd end up with one!

B) Definitely not worked up. There are enough jerks in my day to day life (see: my friend store post) that I'm not going to let some nobody from here get to me.

But one more thing.

a friend from college had a theory that we should all marry outside of our race, so that the future generation would not encounter racism, since everyone would be mixed. it's a cool theory!!

Neel thinks this way too! Every once in awhile he'll bring it up.

My parents didn't care who I was with...what their race, religion, or gender was...so long as I was happy.

I wish I wasn't cheap. Everyone tells me I'd love this show. But I don't want to spend money on a premium channel and I've worn out the ol' call-the-cable-company-and-complain-so-they-give-you-free-premiums gig a long time ago.
