RD $$$$?

I have a question...

How much did you paid for the RD??

I know usually some ppl say the FIL are supposed to pay for it but not in our case, they are not giving not even $.01
So i need to find a location that is not SO expensive =-(

I wish I can take everyone to a Nice restaurant but Im starting to get scared n wonder if we can even affrd having a RD =-(


How much Did you spend in urs?
If U dont want to tell me exactly give a rough estimate or FM...
I wanna get an idea how much should I be expecting to pay for 28 ppl

Mike catered ours at BC's in Bellmore.. We had it in the outside tiki bar and it was perfect!!! He made it so nice and everyone loved it!! call mike he will give you some ideas:)

ours was around $25pp with drinks and full menu! we did at a hibachi place in massapequa. it was a wednesday night so we had the restaurant to ourselves.

everyone loved the idea of hibachi and the food is so delish! mmm

For 21 people I believe we paid about $24 per person at the Bulldog Grille in Amityville. It was great! Food and service were excellent, the private room was nice!

i dont know if you can but i did it at my dad's house and my aunts cooked. it was awesome and totally relaxing

We did Orlando's II in St. James, and I believe MIL paid $30 per person and the food was decent, they closed off private section for us too.

ETA: we had 28 people.

We did a backyard BBQ. We got some Chinese food catered in (my DH and dad are obsessed!), dad grilled burgers and hot dogs (from costco) and a few family members made dishes. We got a cake from BJs.

We split the cost between us, my parents and his.

For 28 people we paid $24 + tax/tip. We did buffet style at The Bulldog in Amityville.

We had a pizza party at our place. Our BP was sooo happy they didn't have to dress up. Everyone had a blast!

I love the house idea.... But I don't have an house... FH doesn't either :(
I so wish I could be like U chicas n have a house n do it there :(

i dont have a house, i have a teeny apartment. is there a family member or BP member who would offer to let you use their house?

What about going to the beach and having a bbq? At some of the state parks they have BBQ sites, kind of like a picnic. No site fee, you might need a permit though. And then you can just get some trays of food.

Sounds like a good idea!
But I am thinking that End of Sept is kind of chilly at night time! and Rehearsal is at 6:30,....
So Dinner may be after 7:30!!!!

What about a buffet? They would be alot cheaper...like the International Buffet (they have private rooms) or even the Old Country Buffet. I know when we go to OCB we pay like $10 each to eat.
