The Thank You Notes are DONE!!!!
After being on a 'Forced March' - making myself write at least 10 per day, I finally got the notes done. I'm so giddy with delight that I just had to share that with a group that could understand!!!

HOLY COW! That`s amazing!
Hi Lee; We`re not sending a picture. I got the formal cards that matched our invitations and had our names on the front in script. Actually, it was Mr. and Mrs. ..... to let everyone know I was taking his name. I`ll probably send some pitures later to a select group that I know will appreciate them. I found a great little book - I think it was called The Bride`s Guide to Writing Thank You Notes. It was a big help. It gave tips on the structure of the note, a list of different ways to descibe gifts, ie: lovely, stunning, practical, etc. and how to thank someone for cash or checks, ie: Thank you for your Thoughtful, or Generous gift.... They also had about 100 sample letters and tips on how to handle tricky situations, like writing a note if the gift is a duplicate, or if you don`t know what it is, or if you really hate it (we didn`t get any of those thankfully). Let me know if you want the author`s name and I`ll get it and post it. Anyway, having the book`s tips helped me get past the block of intimidation that was keeping me from starting and I just set myself the goal of 10 per day so I could get the mess off the table and didn`t risk forgetting to send a note to someone. Now my only worry is that there were a few guests that I have no card, note, gift, check, etc. from and I`m worried that maybe something got lost or stolen from the reception. It may be that they are sending something later, (or not at all) but I just don`t want them to think I didn`t thank them for a gift. I plan to let my Mother know so that if anything is said to her about the lack of a note, she`ll be aware of the situation. One is a cousin and his wife, the other is the adult child of a family friend, and it`s possible that they were included with the parents gift but their names were not on the cards. I don`t care about the lack of gift; I just don`t want to have them think I didn`t thank them if one was given. Anyway - good luck with your notes. You can always address the envelopes and write the notes now, so when the photos come you can just slip them inside.
