You can't please everyone with the names you like.. You have to do what you and hubby want. People are rude when you're pregnant and throw their input in on things (kind of like with wedding planning!), but it's your child. Pick whatever name you want. Don't even tell people until you have the baby, if you're going to get offended by their comments!

My baby will have a very Italian name and I know not everyone will like it. OH WELL!!

Last I checked, your MIL was not the one carrying your baby for nine months.

She had her chance to name her child/children.

just a thought....when my SIL was preggo, she didnt even know if it was a boy or girl. but her and hubby decided on possible names for whether the baby was a boy or a girl

they decided not to tell ANYONEEEE what they were thinking. they just said that they like the names and it was a name of 'strength'

when the baby was born, it was a girl, the name was victoria

if it was a boy, it would have been named victor

long story, short. they didnt include ANYONE in this process....and once the child was born AND NAMED...no one could say ANYTHING, b/c everyone was ooh-ing and aah-ing over the baby

maybe try that!

oh I don't care, the child is getting the name I want.... but the fact that she had to say 'irish' names are stupid instead of Patrick (which was the name was i thinking) was stupid, i wouldn't being feeling so offended. WTH is wrong with irish names!?!?!?!

I already know deep down if its a boy it's being named after DH, Derek Scott (which im totally ok with so I can call it DJ!) , but if I were to have another boy down the road, I like patrick.

and with MY DAD, I'm having a hard time containing him! I shouldn't have told him, because I'm afraid he's gonna blab! (its the excitement I know, but it's like, WAIT A MINUTE - CHILL GRANDPA!)

I LOVE Finn but DH makes cracks at me to stop picking names after tv shows.

Ok, 'mr. i was named after an ugly baseball player'.
(Derek Jeter...haha)

EVERY NAME is a character on a tv show.
