which goes first?

Married 5 mos and still living with FIL. Saving for a house...and I want to start TTC
I also want to change careers...so scared!

Which would you do 1st (if you don't/did'nt have kids)

House, Kids, Career

PS. Im 32 and don't pay rent as long as I'm staying with FIL and SIL. 4 adults in a 3 BR house. and SIL says she's moving but really in no rush.

In an ideal world its career house kids
but we don't know when we can buy a house so for us its career kids house

I agree...ideally it would be career house kids...

DH and I did, career, house, marriage and then kids (working on that last one )

I think that babies are really expensive little buggers.

So for me it's Career, Kids, House

That being said, we are going to start trying early next year. We just king of assume that the pipes work, so who knows how long it might take to get preggo.

For us its career (we're both settled and happy with our careers now), house (in the process), then kids (in a couple of years).

We did things slightly differently... we bought the house first. However, DH already had a full time job. I do work full time, but I'm not in my career yet, per say. I'm hoping that I find a full time career job in the next few years. In any case, we'll be trying for kids within 3-4 years.

Like others have said...ideally we would do career (since we already have them), house, kids...

But that's not really going to work for us since a house is too far away for us...

So we're more career, kids, house but kids and house will be VERY close together.

i agree with the ideal situation others said.

but life isn't so easy ... so career is definitely first ... but then either house or kids is fine as the next step.

you can't wait for EVERYTHING in your life to be perfect or you'll never have kids.
