Our wedding was on a beautiful morning on Sunday, November 3, 2013. To say it was the best day of my life is an understatement. My husband and I were engaged for 16 months, together for 7 years and friends for 18 years. Our wedding was a long time in the making! We decided early on that we wanted a fall wedding, since it is our favorite season and we love things like apple picking, pumpkins and chilly weather.  We both loved the colors associated with fall, as well; deep browns, beautiful burnt oranges and gold. We started our vendor searches and were so lucky to find an amazing team of people who truly cared about us and our wedding: they never really seemed like vendors, but more like friends.

We got married at Watermill Caterers and they couldn’t have been more amazing and accommodating.  We knew it was the place we were meant to be married the moment we walked in, after visiting several other venues. Our guests are still commenting on how beautiful everything was and how delicious the food was. We were married by Keith Gugliuzza of NY Marriages and so many people thought he was a friend of ours since the ceremony was so personalized and touching.  I knew I wanted to do a lot of DIY as soon as we got engaged, not only because we wanted to save some money but because I really enjoy it. My DIY touches were a HUGE hit. I did my own menus, programs, tears of joy packs, LOVE letters and card box. Our favors also surprised people. I’m like a little kid; I always look forward to the favors at parties so I decided that at our wedding I wanted to have a few different favors for our guests to enjoy. We made our own apple cider cones. We had caramel apples, boxes with chocolates in them, photo booth picture frames and little ceramic leaves that held up the place cards. Everyone loved them all, and I’m so happy with how everything turned out. All of our guests had a wonderful time dancing, taking photos in the photo booth, eating and drinking (of course).
I have gotten so many compliments about the wedding and so many people have said it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to. I have to thank all of my vendors for making it such an amazing wedding. I loved wedding planning so much and actually miss my vendors! Our day was amazing, went off without a hitch and I wouldn’t have changed a thing.
