Thanks for all of your help. Our schedules are very different also thats why i asked. I most likely will end up going alone sometimes.
Whats the carnival cart?
the carnival cart is popcorn, pretzels, cotton candy, and candy and caramel apples...its 7pp...the sweet shoppe (candy bar looks great and fun too) 6pp
a martini ice slipe...the wedding we went to had this there and i thought it was awesome...that one is 5pp
and depending on what you and your fh consider fun and how you want to incorporate it..there is the mashed potato $3pp and the slider station which has mini hamburgers and hotdogs, wings, jalepano poppers, california rolls etc..that is 5pp..
now thses are all from the international menu enhancements list that the manor gave us...and i know it all can add up but when we were really considering the manor and all the additions we wanted it sounded to me that they would give it to you as more of a package bec we were going to add in a bunch of stuf...
i dont know if this helps or not bec i dont know if any of this is you or your fh's style but...
xxooo

Re: any other 2011 brides yet?
I didnt know there was an enhancement menu at the Manor. We might consider some of this, thank you. I think the music is the biggest thing. I've been to weddings where the Dj really made the night. I've also been to a wedding with a live band and it was horrible. It was so boring.Do you think you should have music at happy hour or is that to much?

Re: any other 2011 brides yet?
well i still have it ..there is a ton of stuff on it so just let me know if you need prices and what not to anything until you can get one...well its not typically the same music ...for me i will def have music playing during CH..its really up to you...you can have the frank sinatra kind of songs playing..
i think the best part of weddings is you really can do whatever it is you want with them..its all up to you...
IMHO i think music during CH is a good idea..its kind of sets the mood...
have you booked anything else yet???

Re: any other 2011 brides yet?
Is anyone getting married in a church? When should you call and set up an appointment?
Also, does anyone know of any RC churches that don't require you to be part of the parish to get married there?

Re: any other 2011 brides yet?
i say its never too early lol i want to book everything asap but of course im a little crazy haha some places give you this years prices so that is a plus to booking early...again whatever works for u and fh...u can always do a lot of reseaeching now and narrow it down..like instead of seeing eight of any vendor you found three you love who got amazing reviews...this has helped me a lot...

Re: any other 2011 brides yet?
I was telling my FC today that we have to start meeting with photographer and DJ's. I figured we have to meet with a few photo companies before we made our choice and we would have to atttend some showcases for the DJ's. My FC would wait until the last minute for everything.....thank gosh he has me

Re: any other 2011 brides yet?
oh thats ok. I haven't figured out how to respond to someones posting specifically....still new at this.I want to star looking at photographers also but thought it might be to early. who did you book with? I want to send out save the date cards also. I think magnets are an exellent idea. do you have any ideas about you favors?
My FH and i have lived together for years and have every appliance known to man. I dont plan on registering anywhere but you know some people will buy you what they think you need. Its not proper ettiquete to state you want money but we really do. B]What is the best way to let your guest know you dont want any physical gifts only money?

Thank you so much. Gift cards is cool. I was thinking of telling the big mouth of both families and let them spread the word :0
A donation is so a selfless idea. Let me know how you go about doing that. With working in the social service field i see so many people and organizations that need the support. So if you do something edible is it ok to make that the only favor? Waht the guest walk away with?
