mistyeyed & shamma i couldn't agree more. i liked it when it was ONE baord-BHB and yes May was awarded for the most posts-the first ones.

Just want weigh in and say I don't care for the separate boards either. I agree with Lisat, where will it end? Saturday brides! Friday brides! Tall brides! Short brides! Overweight brides! Okay so I am exagerating. But, it is silly, we are all brides and we can all help eachother out regardless of when our weddings are. I miss the days when there was only one board. Alot of things that are posted on the categorized boards could benefit everyone. I do think that the Newlywed board and the NWR board make sense though.

The concept of an 03 board is totally strange... I woul say that 48% of the people in here are 03 brides... if that board is so necessary for all 03 brides, why the post about the tuxedo timeline? I it is not month specific, it is not year specific and sheould be asked here.... 04 and 05 brides would find the tuxedo timeline valuable info... why in the 03 board?

There are too many boards I can't keep up anymore. I think the May, 03/Sept (whatever) and 04 boards make things very difficult. I would probably be interested in what is going on on those boards, but I just have no time to visit there.

And really, I don't think that wedding planning is so different for each month or year. I am not sure why there needed to be a prize when I can't recall a contest. But the bottom line is if we reward all threads that hit 1000 posts with a special board, we will soon have so many boards that there will be people here that I never even meet. And I like recognizing everyone's names.

Not that I am suggesting we take away boards, becuase I know that the May brides will flame me if I did But I think it is getting out of hand, and I was very put off by the suggestion that only sept03 brides can post on the 03 board. Clearly the board says 03 Brides. That leaves a bad taste in my mouth, so regardless of the outcome, I will not be posting there, even though I am an 03 bride.

Bottom line - too many boards.

I am not a fan of different BHB brides- such as May. I never go on the other BHB boards- just this main one. But maybe I would feel differently if I was a May bride, who knows.
I love the newlywed board since we are not in a continous state of planning we discuss other issues. I love the storyboard, but that is because we need a place for our discussion and it would get very 'messy' on another board. Parenting I think should be called TTC/Parenting or Family, but that is JMO.

here is my opinion on all the boards:

BHB is all of us helping out. We all use BHB.

Vendors is good because it helps out with questions we may have regarding vendors and prices.

newlywed board i think is great because i secretly lurk and post a few times there because i love looking at all the wedding pictures. it helps me with planning my own wedding. plus those girls are not planning a wedding anymore so they do talk about other things.

Parenting is great too because if you are a new mom you have a place to go to and talk and ask questions. i think its a very helpful boards for all mommy's and mommy's to be

NWR says it all. We can post anything over there

Slim down is great because its our own little support club of WW girls. We share recipe's, talk about our weight loss. its a board we can all turn too everyday and its our everyday ww meeting. Why should we have to post on NWR every little detail about our weight loss. with the slim down board we are all in it together and can post all we want about our progress.

i am not touching the may board

04brides: we had a thread that was titled 04brides and some days it got lost on the BHB board. there are a lot us (you would be surprised at how many there are and there are more every day) we became our own club. when NYLISA joined it was her and Marcella (I believe) and now it has blossomed into our own little club. We discuss progress of wedding planning, vendors, dresses, etc.

storyboard: self explanitory

i think having an 03 board is fine. i dont think sept03 should have a board then it would mean that we would be seeing saturday brides board, day after thanksgiving brides board, sunday afternoon board, etc...03 is its club. it is 2003 and for each bride her day is getting closer. they have a group of girls they can turn to who will know how there excitement, nerves, jitters, etc are and how to relax.

no matter if there were 100 or 1 board, we are all here because we are brides and looking out for each other. i am always on BHB because i love it on this board. I go on the 04brides board because i am an 04 bride and i feel like its my own little club. in fact NYLISA and I are the same day and in the same reception hall so its great that i have someone i can talk to about the hall, the menu etc.. and things like that we can discuss on the 04brides board and take up space there rather then bother everyone on the BHB board.

no matter what i think its fine with what we have and that they get used for the good of wedding planning
