Busty bridesmaids...need help!
all four of my bridesmaids are well rather well endowed in the bust area..the last thing i want is for them to look stuffed into a strapless dress or falling out of a halter dress. does any one have any suggestions for dress styles for women with large busts?

My bridesmaids are the chesty larues haha and we did the b2 by jasmine b3308--check www.jasminebridal.com, go to b2 and check under best selling style...its strapless with optional straps and they are all under control (both sets of girls
) Good luck!

Re: Busty bridesmaids...need help!
I'm a 36DD. Believe it or not, most strapless dresses are most flattering for large chested / broad shouldered girls. Small straps will enhace how large they are on top.You need to stay away from anything high waisted or with a ribbon right below the bust line.
Check my album for pics of my wedding gown and BM dress - both strapless. Three of my BMs are DDs, too, and the dress looks great on them.
If they are uncomfortable in something strapless, then just make sure to avoid spaghetti straps (especially if they have broad shoulders, too) and high waists.
ETA -- I do like the BM dresses that are sleeveless but not strapless -- many are two pieces. Those are also flattering. I'll see if I can find a pic.

Try off the shoulder dresses. They usually look great on busty broads.. I'm one.. I should know.

Re: Busty bridesmaids...need help!
I've been a busty bridesmaid about 7 times already! I'm a 36 D and I also find that strapless dresses are much more flattering than halter or spaghetti strap. Also, try and stay away from anything that is low cut in front or back...because I'm chesty I need a corset usually to keep the girls up so I need to be able to wear a good bra!!

Two of my bridesmaids and myself are pretty busty, and we went the strapless route. They actually looked the best!HTH

Re: Busty bridesmaids...need help!
my girls are using Bill Levkoff # 557. Instead of having the seamstress alter the top so tight for the dress to stay up ask them to put in 'stays'. That'll help reduce the 'sausage top' that happens.(I'm a 38DD and we did this for a wedding I was in and it was great! I'm having the same thing done for my wedding dress)

Re: Busty bridesmaids...need help!
I don't have a specific dress to recommend, but I'm a big girl (ahem) and I know that I prefer to wear dresses with wide enough straps that I can wear a regular bra underneath. So something with a more normal top, or with tank-style straps. V-necks are good, as long as they're not so low as to make a lot of cleavage. Scoop necks are good, but I know I look awful in square necks, jewel necks, and boat necks. I remember when I was looking that there are a lot of V-necked, sort of wrap tops with wide straps--those would be fine. I have a couple of regular dresses like that and they're flattering.Good luck!

Re: Busty bridesmaids...need help!
Strapless dresses can be quite flattering--but the thing is, you usually need to get a good strapless long-line bra or corset to wear one, and they're expensive. If the bridesmaids don't already own one, it's like adding $50-$70 onto the price of the dress. Which is fine, if the dress isn't that expensive or the girls don't mind. I'm a 38DD and I know from experience that cheap strapless bras don't work. Don't ask!

I'm DD as well and I always seek out V-neck styles for dresses, I find that neckline to be very flattering. And the added bonus of V-neck is being able to wear a regular bra!

Bill Levkoff 966 is a great pic for busty bridesmaids. It has a little extra room in the top and looks so pretty on most figures!

The manufacturer of the dress is Jordan. If you want to check out the website, it is jordanfashions.com. I know that Lilette's in Baldwin and Helen's in Commack carry this designer.

Re: Busty bridesmaids...need help!
Go with one of them to pick out a dress: one of mine had to have a dress specially enhanced in the breast area (see my album for photo of the dress...it is Levikoff)...and she looked HOT with it on.

Re: Busty bridesmaids...need help!
all but 2 of my 8 bridesmaids were BUUUUSTY....u can look in my review at pics of them in their gowns....they actually had a high strapless top, corset like with boning and a semi-dropped waist and they all looked absolutely GORGOUS. I also made sure they all tried on the dress before any were ordered. but u can take a look - the strapless actually flattered them! Our December Wedding Review!!!!! (btw - their dresses were a line off bill levkoff - i believe the majority of the strapless bill levkoff dresses are made with great support and room for the bustier gals! all my girls said they felt SO comfortable in them!)

Re: Busty bridesmaids...need help!
My BMs wore Alfred Angelo 6122. V-neck, A-line shape that they can wear regular bras with. Most found the straps had to be taken up, but other than there was no problem.Click here for more info. Scroll down for pics from my wedding and for info on where to buy.
