1. I actually dont like Halloween, maybe because I grew up in Poland where you celebrated Nov. 1 as All Saint's Day (day to remember the dead, you went to the cemetary etc)
2. I hated high school, I forged my mom's signature and skipped school all the time
3. I can swim but I am terrified of water (keep thinking that in past life I must have drowned)
4. I am very lazy, I wish I had a housekeeper so I didnt have to do anything
5. Once I thought I saw my dead grandfather but I keep telling myself that it most likely was someone that just looked like him

6. after a horrible fire on our floor couple of years ago I have to check the knobs on the stove to make sure they are off (I have to touch each one just to be 100% sure)
7. I hate hair on myself, if I could I would shave it all off except my head lol
8. in high school especially while taking tests I pretended not to know English very well so I could go to ESL room for help (usually I would end up in a bathroom copying stuff from the book)
9. I love forensic science...I wish I had enough will power to go back to school and get a degree in it
10. when I lived in Rochester I had a lot of friends that were sheriffs and I wanted to become one (even have bachelors in criminal justice)

Ok, I am new to the boards, so I am going to contribute to make an effort to embarrass myself early on....

*I know ALL the words to 'Copacabana' and I loooooove Barry Manilow (blame my grandma)

*I am addicted to Howard Stern. I listen to him from 6am until 8am, when my students arrive. Then, on days when my prep is early, I turn my little radio on in my room and giggle!

*I am now attempting Weight Watchers for the SIXTH time. I am trying for the last time to lose the most stubborn 10-15 pounds that just won't go away.

*My favorite band of ALL TIME is Def Leppard. I am trying to figure out a way to include their music at our reception. FH is nauseous at the thought.

*I love the Food Network. Rachel Ray is my idol.

1. I grew up in Houston, TX listening to country western music

2. I LIKE GRITS for breakfast with bacon and fried eggs...YUMMMMMM

3. I once put my pet mouse Charlie in the toilet to see if he could swim....(mom saved him)

4. I almost drowned 3 times

5. I HATE driving...people scare me

6. I used to be scared of the dark, and sometimes I still sleep with a light on

7. I believe in ghosts and have seen them on more than 1 occasion...

8. I've been to about 7 diff. junior high schools

9. I had a crush on my FH in high school but didn't meet him until 10 yrs later at a club!

10. I have never ever tried drugs ever, not even weed....I never even saw real drugs until last summer! OH...and in case anyone is wondering...i STILL have never tried a drug....lol

These posts are definitely the best way to get an idea of who we are! Love the idea.

I have to respond to neesiepie's #7: I forgot to mention my ridiculously paralyzing fear of ghosts. I swear when I saw Sixth Sense my freshman year of college, I left the theatre. I couldn't sleep alone for almost 2 years after that. I am so pathetic

1) I get bad anxiety. So bad sometimes, that I can't lay down because it feels like my heart is pumping right out of my throat. It's quite frustrating, and thankfully doesn't occur half as much as it used to
2) I cry all the time when I watch weddings on TV, even before I was engaged.
3) I'm afraid one day I am going to regret my decision on not following through with law school. I guess it's because I always thought I was going to be an attorney. I'm still trying to figure out if that was my dream, or my parents.
4) Shoes are one of my many weaknesses, shoes on SALE........ is up there with sex
5) I daydream a lot, never of the same thing. It keeps me alive inside
6) I have been known to eat paddy melts, egg omelettes, and mozzerella fries all in one sitting, when I am hungover. Nothing cures a headache and a shakey stomach better than grease and loads of water.

1. When I was in HS I always thought once I graduate I will move to California, Leonardo DeCaprio will fall in love with me, I will get married to him, we'll have beautiful children and I will go to every premiere!

2. I was the Student Body President in Junior High School - which was cool in JHS, and not so cool now

3. I was a ballet dancer, and always secretly wanted to be a principal ballet dancer.

4. I am the youngest baby girl - spoiled and el.

5. I want to be a very successful executive making lots of money.

6. As my mom sais 'Gd gave me the ability to dance, but not the ability to sing.' - but I love to sing! many times clearing out the kareoki places!

7. Passionately obsessive - can't rest till the task I am working on is done - which is why this wedding planning is VERY difficult!

This is so fun...

1. I have a great fear of sharks (even have nightmares about them occasionally) So does FH (wierd)

2. I love rollercosters.

3. I have an addiction to shopping for anything (so bad)

4. I don't drive yet (so embarrasing) - yet being the key word.

5. I love elephants - especially baby ones. My favorite animals. Pigs are my second.

6. I have moved 22 times in my 25 years - I am so ready for a home! (North Carolina - I'm a comin' baby!)

7. I have a hairy upper lip (amound many other undesirabe hairy places on my body) that I now wax/thread, but as a kid I was teased endlessly about it - in 6th grade the boys called me Colonel Mustaza. I have no idea why the name, but it made me cry nearly every day.

8. I was given a glowing review by the Village Voice 2 years ago when I did a production of 'The Criminals' on the LES. I strangled a woman to death for three minutes playing a psychotic maid in a post WWI German Household.

9. My sister was jealous of my long hair down to my butt as a kid, so while sleeping one night, she was about 8 and I was 6, she decided to dump a whole can of rubber cement in my hair and my mother had to chop it off. I still have not forgiven her.

10. I don't really like sweets - anything too sugary makes me feel sick after a minute. My weakness is anything with melted cheese and breads.

Ok, so I am glad to have gotten a tip about this thread, I didn't even see it!

So here I go...10 totally random things you never thought you wanted to know about me

1. I stole my babysitter's flute when I was 4 and have been playing ever since (not her's, I got my own )

2. I have very nice hair. I know it's vein to say, but I'm telling you, my kids at school LOVE to run their fingers through it!

3. I sleep on the right side of the bed because JT told me he likes to sleep on the left, but after two years of living together, he wants to switch sides, and I secretly want to, but am holding a grudge still that he made me switch my side in the first place

4. My sister is getting married two months before me and I am so excited about it!

5. I speak very well in Spanish, but get very self-conscious around other people who speak Spanish and pretend I don't know what they are saying to me.

6. I worry sometimes that I might have ugly children.....am I a bad person for this? It's ok, I probably am!

7. My only best friends are guys, I only have a few girlfriends, and I think that is why I love this site, it fills that void.

8. I refuse to wear socks to bed.

9. I live with my parents and JT and sometimes I still snuggle with my mom and dad in their bed and watch tv. I will perpetually be 8 years old when I'm with them.

10. I appear to people to be very confident, but I have terribly LOW self confidence.

5: I went to Germany when I was 16 for 8 days...no parents which meant too much drinking!

6: My parents have 5 birds...so annoying!!

7: My sister has a cat that is currently up for adoption, any takers? He is a 2 yr old neutered and declawed (front only) male. He has long hair and his name is Pepper. They got him as a kitten but are unable to keep him since they just recently had a baby. (just thought id take the oppertunity to offer)

8: My puppy will be 6 months old in 3 weeks.

9: My grandma got into a car accident last week.

10: I graduated high school in the top 20th percentile of my class. Then I went to further my education at NCC (Nassau Community College). Finally, I dropped out.
