Re: 'CHATEAUBRIAND BRIDES'
I am a past CB bride. My CH was in the Saturnia room it was huge and reception was in the davinci room. Everything was beautiful. I highly recommend the viennese hour. The only thing I wish I would have changed was instead of having the extended hour for the viennese I wish I would have added an extra half hour onto the CH. My wedding was on a friday and a lot of people left early b/c they didn't know the wedding went til 1am. Also, I wasn't crazy about the long dance floor in the Davinci room. It never looked full. B4 we booked that room that was my one concern but my DH loved that room. I think they were changing the floor shape. Has anyone been there lately to see?You will have no regrets with having your wedding there!!
ETA: Tom was my BM and we had a complimentary night at the Fox Hollow Inn.

does anyone one if we have to go with one of the cakes in the book or can we dream up whatever we want?
CB uses Erga bakery you can change the cake from the basic Cake they offer. I would suggest going to Erga bakery directly CB will hike up the price for anychanges you want made to the cake. You can also upgrade with Cakes by Jay.

Just so you all know...I was in a wedding there in Nov and it was BEAUTIFUL! The maitre d and attendants really know their stuff and everything went VERY smoothly! She was in the upstairs room with the balcony that over looked the lobby (don't know the name). Also there were other weddings there and you would have never known.

I am also having the reception at the Davinci room, but only half of the room. Our wedding is not that big. CB is going to put a partition. But as you said the dance floor is quite long. Did you have the whole room?
How come you have a free night? They told us that the free night only applied to a winter wedding. Did you have a big wedding?

Did you ladies hear anything about getting a room @ the inn at fox hollow at a discount or for free the night of the wedding?
Where did you block hotel rooms??..if you did.
We postponed our wedding. Originally we were booked for Jan 09 (Saturday afternoon wedding). We also visited Fox Hollow and they offered us a free night at the inn, because it's a winter wedding. FI asked CB (what's the deal.... both Fox Hollow and CB are from the Scotto Brothers), so they gave us a night.
But we changed the date to Jul 09 and the free night did not apply anymore.

im a CB bride!!!!!! well i was really upset b/c i couldnt get anything thrown or move on the price but FH loved the place so oh well. its so good to here good things about the place.
I kind of recall that I read in the Fox Hollow thread that you should be able to get a free night at the inn if your wedding is between Jan and March.
Check that thread....they are also from Scotto Brothers.

We had about 200 people. We were originally having more. That was the room they had available for us.

Yes, CB uses Erga-but the part about CB hiking up the price is not true-you dont go thru CB staff for the cake-you go thru Erga for you cake no matter what-you just go down to the bakery about 3 months prior and they will help you with your selection

Hi,Soon to be CB bride. Three more months to go. Dawn is my BM. She is wonderful. I am in Europa and Normandy. I am not using none of their vendors. The tea party was excellent and is very informative. Oh yeah FYI if your using outside vendors they can only set up a hour before. I am having plasma tv, monogram and lighing system with my dj package and they will need a little more than a hour to setup. Just letting you ladies just in case your doing the same thing
