I didn't get FH anything.

We already have bank accounts togeather and everything so his money is mine visa versa. He would want anything he rather me put extra money away for our house and wedding!

We got engaged in January and I just recently bought him an engagement gift. I got him a new computer (with all the extras he wanted and a widescreen flat screen monitor that's bigger than our tv), but I did it because I wanted to, not because I felt obligated. FH certainly didn't expect anything - he definitely appreciated it, but didn't expect it. But we're also not doing wedding gifts, so I really wanted him to have something just for himself.

I didn't get FH a gift, we were too poor. But he rubs it in my face all the time that his mom got his step-dad a 60in. flat screen when they got engaged, so I'm opening a Christmas club to save up for his flat screen wedding gift!!!

Yep... afterward, he got a ring with little diamonds that he wears as an engagement ring too!

i want to get him a watch or something, but he knows i cant afford it, so instead i took him out for a nice dinner to a famous seafood place in sydney that he loves. he enjoyed that. everytime we go out he is so conscious of how much he spends on getting something to eat, so i told him to order whatever he wants and not to worry about it.

plus i see the engagemnet ring as a downpayment for the usage of the uterus later when we have kids....they dont have to go thru any pain....

Hahahaha, a plasma screen tv.... My FH always jokes around with me saying.... You got the ring, I should get a plasma screen tv.. I guess its what most guys want... but he was just joking... I definately wouldnt have the $$$ for that. I was thinking about getting him something...but I wasn't sure what. But I don't think it is necessary to.
