I think I have an answer to your problem

I went gown shopping with my friend today (she's the one shopping, I went for the honest opinion) at Bridal Reflections in Massapequa and I saw a veil that would seem to solve the whole 'black spots in pictures' problem. The rhinestones were matched up on either side so that all you saw was the rhinestone, no rhinestone backing.
