As soon as we registered we received gifts. We did not have an engagement party & we already have all 12 place settings of our china, all of our silver & people have started to send us our crystal.

How do people know where you're registered????

I'm accustomed to registering before the bridal shower, and then people give you gifts...

people had asked my mom and sister where i was registered. i also just bought a house a few months after our engagement so many of the gifts were prompted because i needed alot of stuff for my house

Patience Woodard...your gifts will come...you just have to give people time. Once you get all the details finalized with your wedding, the gifts will start to flow in...just be patient.

i didnt have an eparty, but received a lenox picture frame, lenox toasting flutes, mikasa candle holders, wedding book, and a bride and groom crystal statue

We have gotten gifts from immediate family with the exception of one of FH's brothers, which really burns me up. He didn't attend the e-party because he 'forgot' he had to work, didn't even send a card, etc. Sounds petty, but we are VERY generous with gifts to his kids.

We didn't have a party, but we got some gifts. FMIL realized this week that she didn't give us anything big, so she bought us a luggage set

We did! We didn't have an engagement party. But we've received a lot of gifts off of our registry as well as checks from close friends and family.

I got gifts from a few people and i did not have a party

2 of mom's very good friends
my 2 aunts
my uncle
a few friends
uncles girlfriend

i think thats it

We didn't have a party, we got a few cards. Some had $$ in them! We also got some kitchen appliances since we were moving in together just after we got engaged, and wall hangings.

Nothing much, but I'm very grateful for what we did get, I love presents!!!

We didn't have a party. Our friends and family gave us cash and gifts off our registry. I didn't want to register so soon, but so many people were asking..so i put a few things on. I have to say we did get some nice stuff. However, out of all of the people who got me something, it was my closest friends that didn't or did very small. Weird huh?

We had an e-party, close family and friends.

OK - I DID have an engagement party and I got NO gifts - zero, nada. Just one card from my co-worker.

But I shouldn't be surprised.... my mother doesn't even want to go wedding dress shopping with me - why would I expect friends and family to give me gifts!?

we hardly got anything, but maybe that is because we had a very impromptu and informal engagement party. Still, it does hurt my feelings a bit when I think of how little we actuall got - even a card from some people would have been nice :(
