I used to be friends w/benefits with our Best Man LMAO...we were never romantically interested in each other, just used to boink like bunnies for the better part of a year (like 5 years ago)...he's always stayed one of my best friends and FH really clicked with him since he's been here (they're actually a lot alike in some ways).

sooooo yeah I guess I'm MORE than inviting an ex

P.S. - FH knows all about our past and is totally fine with it.

OMG! Imagine if your FH invited one of his exes to the wedding and you didn't know until she was there assuming the unknown name was a distant cousin??

Neither of us are inviting any ex's, but that's because nother of us have remained friends with any of our respective ex's.

I think the assumption that inviting an ex immediately results in them pining for their former while watching the vows take place is a little too

. Everyone's situation is different.

No way! We have mutual friends and I don't even go anywhere he might be out of respect for our respective of my fiance and his.

I think it's a big no no in my book, just unnecessary.

DH insisted we invite his h.s. girlfriend and her fiance to our wedding. I really didn't want to. I didn't like her from the way she treated me the very moment we met. Then again, DH didn't like her when she was dating him and 3 other guys at the same time. That's why he broke up with her. But that was like 9 years ago and they've been friends since, although not that close.

We're going to her wedding this upcoming weekend. I'm still not looking forward to it because I don't really like her (did I mention that already:? hmm.) but I'm looking forward to going to another wedding and getting dressed up lol. I'm making the best of it.

FWIW, her fiance is a sweetheart! According to her wedding web page he's 'the best $54.95 she ever spent' when she joined match to meet him.

(seriously, do people say that???)

I'm having like, 4 at my wedding, but only the ones that I'm actually friends with, not the ones that are gonna try to stop the wedding.

But he can't invite his ex. Maybe I wouldn't mind so much if she didn't post stuff like 'how about a little game of yes doctor?' on his myspace. B*itch.

Actually all of my ex's are invited to the wedding, I'm still really good friends with them and so is my family, so they all got invites. FH has met them all and has hung out with them on several occassions, so its really not weird for us

What if the pastor/officiant asks 'If anyone has any just cause why these two should not get married and they say some crap to stop them' By right pastors and priests have to stop and in some cases depending on what they say they cannot continue the wedding.

yeah i don't talk to either of my serious ex-boyfrends. Guys from like high school and younger, who cares? These were not serious relationships for me, so FH couldn't care less.

LOL don't worry about this. My pastor said they don't even say this anymore. At least they're not at my wedding haha.
