Hello !I just got engaged this past saturday and my inlaws are forcing me to have an engagement party. I dont want one casue I feel like I am asking my guest for so much... engagement party, shower, wedding... they are going to be broke! What do you think about engagement parties?

Hi welcome! And congrats on your engagement! I think a e-party is a great idea.. let me ask you are you Greek? I am just wondering by your screename if you were. There are a few of us Greek brides on here. Anyway congrats and no 22 isn't too young to get engaged if you are ready and you love the guy!!!

Hello All,
Just wanted to say thanks for all of your ideas on my e party, where to have it, waht kind of invites, etc. Special thanks to beautyq115 and mskitty!!!

We decided to have it, finally, at Villa Marchello near me in Queens. The invites I got at ACMOORE, they came out beautiful and I will post them once I take some pix. Booked our DJ too, I used him for my moms 50th, so I know hes good. He was only 500 too!
He said he would take 100 digi pix for $100! I think thats a good deal, so we might go w/the pix.

Any favor ideas??

My favors are in my photo album...if you want the name of the lady who did them FM me...she is a family friend

we are having all that...IMO it is not too much- we are having the eparty as a way for our families to all meet- it was my parents' idea too and at first I thought it was too much but all our guests are excited so far (party is June 12)

as far as being too young- i don't really think age is a number...if you are ready then you are ready!!

O my god your 22 ! Thats awsome! I dont feel so bad now! We are planning to get married in o6 so i will be 24 by then. But age is just a number right? how do you deal with people saying ' o your too young'?

I will be 24 when I get married too. Not a lot of people have said 'your too young' bc everyon has been askin us for the past 2 years when we are goin to get married, engaged. LOL
Weve been goin out almost 7 years, thats why.
one of my aunts who had always asked me, told me when i got engaged 'well me and my daugher think your too young'.
im like dont even start bc u asked me 1000xs.
what it ur biz anyway?
that pissed me off!
but besides her, no one really asked me...

it has nothing to do with your age. Are you ready is the question?? if you feel that you are 100% ready to get married, then age doesn't matter. I am 24 and will be married at 25 and that is still young but i am 100% certain that I am marrying the man of my dreams!!
