IMO, you have to see who you click with. There are a few highly recommended vendors on here that I met with that I just wasn't overly impressed with.

Your best is to do a lot of research on this board, come up with a list of the vendors you want to meet with, and then see who you click with and who is in your budget. FM if you need more info on who I met with.

I agree with this 100%. I met with more than a dozen florists and a little less than half created a sample for me, before I found the perfect florist for ME. It turned out to be Nancy at Open House Country in Stony Brook.

I went with Flowers by Brian, I looked at Flower Michelle but Brian was 800.00 cheaper. Both do incredible work.

I reccommend The Flower Barn in Seaford. Mike is nice to work with. He knoew exacly what I wanted here are pics of my smape centerpiece

I LOVED The Flower Barn!!! Everything was just so perfect!!! And they were such a pleasure to work with!!! I strongly recommend looking at them, and their prices are reasonable!

below is my centerpiece, a couple of bouts, mix of bo-k and bouts, and a pretty good pic showing the girls bo-ks. I had each girl carry their favorite flower in their favorite color, then my bo-k was a mix of all of them and i added a few flowers. then the bouts matched the bo-ks of the girls they were escorting. I really wish I had done the floral preservation, and i'm dissapointed I don't have a good pic of my bo-k. But I just loved the Flower Barn, I can't say enough good things about them!!

Flowers by Emil is fantastic...they helped me to select anything and everything I wanted..from colors to exact flowers...they were so helpful and soo reasonably priced

I met with Mike from Burtons. I thought the prices were great and my friend used them last yr. and all her flowers were beautiful.

Designs by Rose!!!they are sooo nice and their work is BEAUTIFUL and so affordable!! i didnt have a good experience with pedestals they were impersonable and more expensive than the others, but thats just my experience...

im using pedestals -- rob is great! i can honestly say he was one of the few vendors who listened to what i liked/did not like and really did get a feel for my taste.

Here's a story I would like to share..... We booked the first florist we went to see( please don't fm to find out who this was. I won't answer them). After hearing numerous complaints about them, and having second thoughts on having a wedding. We canceled them. After finally deciding we wanted our dream wedding we decided to book John from Flower Michele. The work he did that day was magical. My wife was so happy, and that's all that mattered to me.

The advice part - visit as many florist as you can, and see who you click with. Of course there's going to be positive and negative posts on here about each vendor, but its you that has to be comfortable with the vendor you choose. Research your vendors, and check the Better Business Bureau for complaints filed against them.' This was the one MISTAKE my wife and I made when it came to our first florist.
