im not sure i know the first somerley bride did that and i read in the review on here that another somerley bride did also?? a little confusing...im just really worried how cocktail hr looks i need to see it

I think she used the WG room for her ceremony. I'm pretty sure they used the cocktail room (latern galley) because I saw it being set up. We decided to book the night of the first wedding. Fox Hollow invited us in to see the completed room because when we first saw it was still under construction. Call fox hollow and see if you can come one evening around 5, before a wedding, when they are setting up for an evening wedding so you can see what cocktail hour would look like.

Re: Fox Hollow Somerley Brides - Help!

I'm having my ceremony and reception in the somerley and cocktail hr in the lantin gallery next door.

After ceremony is over, there is a movable wall that closes up the somerely space except for the dance floor. Once the wall is up they break down the ceremony and bring the tables in to turn it into reception.

Cocktail hour is right next door in the lantin gallery and if you have a large party it can spill into the dance floor part of the somerley. Because the wall is up, you do not see the staff behind them setting up the tables. Plus your DJ/Band is in the uncovered space where your cocktail hour is spilled over and you won't hear them either.

Once cocktail hour is over, they remove the wall and all the guests are ushered to their seats for the bridal introductions.

Re: Fox Hollow Somerley Brides - Help!

In the space blocked off by the wall. They will place a table there with the cards. Or you can request it done anyway you like, along with anything else.

Fox hollow is very flexible. We have made tons of requests for other things and it isn't a problem.

We are having less people in the tables than suggested 10-12. Also, FH is bringing special beer that he wants to be served by the bartenders. And if you have a ceremony there they usually decorate it themselves with white and ivory flowers, but we may ask them to incorporate red flowers too and it isn't a problem.

Re: Fox Hollow Somerley Brides - Help!

speaking of beers, do you happen to remember what the standard beers are? I am having a st pat's wedding so the beer selection is important. I already requested to have Guinness brought in. I just can't remember what the others are.

I was told bud, budlight and an import of your choice(heinken, corona, Stella I think). What did they charge you for the guinness if you don't mind me asking.

If you want you can just do what we are doing and buy the beers yourself and have them serve them.

I was told we could bring in beers or another type of alcohol if they didn't serve it.

I asked them that & I got a 'Yeah, right.' If we book there I should just do it anyway LOL! A friend of our family owns a beer distributor.

Re: Fox Hollow Somerley Brides - Help!

Went to another venue and was very disappointed with the price. $165 a person for a Saturday night reception in May. Way out of our price range considering we are looking at at least 200 people.

Does any one know how much the Somerley is for a Saturday night reception? I noticed a lot of brides are talking about a per-construction price, but obviously that doesn't help me.

Thanks ladies!

Re: Fox Hollow Somerley Brides - Help!

I was just at fox hollow and saw how beautifully the new bridal suite was done (at the top of the stairs next to the restaurant) does anyone know if they have any intention on remodeling the bridal suite that accompanies the somerley?

So happy to hear they did this! When I was there they hadn't started it yet. They put french doors in to connect the two rooms right?
