I was just at fox hollow and saw how beautifully the new bridal suite was done (at the top of the stairs next to the restaurant) does anyone know if they have any intention on remodeling the bridal suite that accompanies the somerley?

What do you mean by remodel? The Bridal Suite that goes with the Somerley is brand new. If you look in the album by Mrs.Woods, it shows the bridal suite in there. Did you not see it, or do you not like how its decorated?

I saw the bridal suite for the Somerley and compared to the winter garden suite it kinda looks like a high school classroom to me. The WGP's suite is all marble and absolutely beautiful I thought that my bm mentioned changing the furniture but I couldn't remember. Is anyone intending on not using the led lights?

Did they tell you if the uplighting was included in the room or not? There are different ideas floating around on the boards....some say that one color in uplighting is included in the room, others say that you have to use body rock to get any of the lighting...just curious if they explained this to you.

Honestly I didn't ask because I don't want to use them, and my fh does Av so if I decided I wanted lights we could bring them in at no cost. However because that's his industry he said they probably do have a contract with one company to use the lights, and if you do wanna use them you'd have to hire them. That's just his insight though no word from fox hollow. I'd love to fill the room with tons of candles because it'll be evening and December but I can't visualize it.....

I am getting married in the Somerley in Aug 2012 and they allow you to choose one color uplighting. I met with body rock today and they charge $950 for tvs with zap shots and $950 to add more lighting to the room. HELP. I have no idea if I need to pay for MORE lighting. I thought the uplighting it comes with is enough but do I need more???? I was poss going to use Tommy Tunes and not get any additional lighting but now I am confused. Thoughts.... Also I thought the bridal suite for the Somerley was fine but now I want to see the other one.. And was anyone else told they couldn't have an outdoor ceremony with the Somerley bc I was told that and I read somewhere that someone did. WTH

If one of the color choices works for what you want I'd keep it set on it depending what color it is, it should work all night, if later u want more dance floor attention I.e the bouncing lights changing colors get the lighting package chances are other places besides body rock can do something similar

Thanks. Other Dj companies def have the optional lighting but I think BR suckers you in when they show you everything. Have you thought about what you are doing yet?

I also don't know if the lantern room is too small. It may be too late now. And what is everyone doing about the cake they include. I fell sooooo clueless!!!

I'm not having my ceremony there, but other brides have had their ceremony/CH/reception all in the Somerley and it has been successful. Check out Brides Review, there should be some pics in there. I agree with you that the Latern Galley is small, but remember they have the overflow doors that open into the Somerley, and Fox Hollow puts up a very nice decorative half wall to block the guest view from the reception set up while the CH is going on. As far as the cake, I don't know yet. I do know you go to the house baker's bakery for your cake tasting and that is how you choose your cake flavors. We probably won't do that till the summer. The cake is FH choice!

Our bm told us we would be in the new cocktail room that they are building beneath the Somerley. Needless to say freaking out because I have no idea what it will look like has anyone seen anything about this?

they're doing new construction at FH?? they didn't tell me that, and i specifically asked if there was any new construction going on because it was on the suggested list of Qs to ask RHs

Out the doors to the Somerley by the steps that lead up to the bridal suite, there is stairs that lead down as well it's an empty room that will be a new cocktail room, the foundation is already poured but the room itself looks like a basement, honestly I'd rather have the wgp for my cocktail but I don't think they'd allow it.

i called today to ask this and they said they dont even have permits on yet it so its nothing thats happening right away...i really wish there was a diff room for cocktail hour thats the only thing wrong with that room :(
