Remi was nice. FH and I had such a great time and Powerstation is so awesome!!! Chris Lambropoulos is a really great bouzouki player and Papastefanou is really good too. I want to hear their other singer Nick - just to have an idea of how he sings too. Chris said something that has me a little worried, he said that there is another guy that he has that plays the bouzouki too - has anyone ever heard him? I would want to contract for Lambropoulos to play but I dont know if we can do that. the female singer was also ok, but not really awesome - it might be the club setting though - because the girl that we heard singing last week at Crescent Beach Club for like 30 seconds had a sweet voice. DO they negotiate their price at all? If we get them we are going to have 9 people in the band - ahhhh- imagine feeding all of them!


Cavo sounds great! What time though because I have an orientation all day for school which is going to let out a bit late.

I'm asking for you all to forgive me for barging in on you but I was wondering if any of you go over to the Recipes forum? I would love some Greek recipes, and especially desserts. They are my passion in life. A friend's grandma used to make a cookie that was quite thick but shaped like an oval that was flattened on top. It was covered with a sticky honey syrup and had crushed nuts that stuck to the honey. It was my all-time favorite. I'd so love to have that recipe.

Sorry, cant help with that. I dont plan on having a shower - and I have told my BMs that I dont want one - even though that has caused everyone included FMIL to think I am wierd. Just my thought on it though - so if the girls end up throwing one (as they have told me that I have no control over it - really wish they would respect my wishes though)- it will be a suprise.

Why dont you nicely let your mom know and ask he if she can have one of your bridesmaids or yrou sister help out instead of you helping out wiht it?

All the bridesmaids are in college except for one and the one that isn't just got married lol I don't really think to rely on them - I'm having my wedding exactly one physical year to the date of my cousin and I remember that around the showertime college is nuts - right before finals. We'll see

My MIL is throwing me my shower but I am planning everything for it except for the date!! My MIL is sooo sweet, I wouldn't trade her for anything!! She is letting me choose anything I want regarding planning the shower (favors, invites, etc)The only thing I don't know about my shower is the date because I want to be surprised!


Here's another topic: Is your future MIL a 'typical' Greek MIL?? Thankfully mine isn't!! She is a sweetheart and isn't overbearing and doesn't get involved in FH and mine's business. She treats me like I am her own daughter...I am soo lucky and blessed to have a MIL like her, esp. since I have heard a lot of MIL horror stories! (esp. with Greek moms)
