Re: Having children at wedding??
The only kids that are going to be at the reception are the kids that are in my wedding and the only reason they are staying is because our ceremony is at the same place as the reception and it is far from home.

Re: Having children at wedding??
I invited all my 14 nieces and nephews. I invited family from oot with kids.I explained to everyone else that were local that I didn't want children there, but I wanted family there. If they lived close, then it would be appreciated if they were to get a babysitter. But if they couldn't come because of no sitter, than by all means, please bring them.
During the CH, I had my MIL ask me if a friend of theirs could keep their daughter there and their niece who was visiting from Sweden. I said no, because the seats were already set up and I thought it tacky that they even waited that long to ask. It should have been brought to my attention way before!!!

Re: Having children at wedding??
My FH and I are only inviting 4 children to our wedding...two are his little brothers who are 9 and 13 and are in the wedding party and the other two are my flowergirls, they are 4 and 9. Kids never make it late into the night and it is just too expensive to invite...JMO!!

Re: Having children at wedding??
I agree that it is a personal choice. Our flowergirls, who will be 4, will be invited to the cocktail hour and will be introduced at the reception, but then they are going to leave. I don't want my cousin (the mom) to have worry about them all night long, nor do I not want to invite the flowegirls' 2 brothers.
