Re: Hey March Brides...

You should be figuring out when your rehearsal is and start looking around at places soon.

Re: Hey March Brides...

I agree, the rehearsal should be a priority. the tuxes are easy once you pick a place. FH and I spend 2 hours at After Hours and that was it.

As for RD location, we are having ours at Bertuccis in Melville.

There is an Italian resturant on old country road across from cvs and some craft store.. It is the strip next to checkers.. They serve family style.. Friends of ours took us there when we got engaged the food was great.. and there was a rehersal dinner there when we left.. I will try to find out the name...

Re: Hey March Brides...

Hi Girls! I am getting married the 13th, I sent out the invitations yesterday! I still have to get bridal party gifts, make church decorations, favors, rings, tuxes, marriage license, and i'm sure there is tons more but if i really start thinking about it i will stress myself more. We just did pre-cana over the weekend so at least thats over with! Good Luck to everyone!

Re: Hey March Brides...

I have hair and makeup on Saturday...I'm also going for my 2nd fitting right after to get the 'whole look.'

Invites went out yesterday. We still need rings and tuxes. After that we just have to meet with all our vendors - again.

TIME IS FLYING BY!!

Re: Hey March Brides...

So far I have gotten 24 yes and 2 no in the past 2 days. I am so excited when I get the mail! I was a little disappointed with the first no response. I am sure I will meet my minium of 100 people, but it is kind of disappointing to get that first 'no'.

Re: Hey March Brides...

Im hoping for some no's or I'll be in big trouble!!!! Got my first two reponce cards today! That was exciting! The pastor called and we were able to change the reharsal from Sat night to Sat afternoon. I dont want to be out late the night before the wedding and we have to have it that day cause thats when people are flying in. Also lots of kids involved so I want them in bed early!! Just have to find a place for dinner...CHEAP! My big PROBLEM is the stress eating and my fear i will no longer be able to fit in the dress!

Re: Hey March Brides...

Kathleenmarie....what's inexpensive in your opinion? I've heard some good #'s from Olive Garden from other brides and we are doing it at Sonoma Grill in Holbrook for $23.95 per person....soda, coffee, tea, choice of 1 out of 3 salads, choice of 1 out of 6 entrees, and choice of dessert and they will let me bring in an outside cake (surprise grooms cake). It's a private room that can hold up to 60 people and we have it for 4 hrs on a friday night. The place is clean and tastefully decorated
