not to stick my nose where it doesnt belong. BUT, you guys should have a day out at a ballpark. Be it Mets or Yankees. Have a GTG at a ballpark. Just an idea

I was REALLY looking forward to something like that since there are a lot of passionate Yankee and Mets fans on the boards. Ron tried to get it together, but I dont think there was enough interest

not do a softball game, cause not everyone is good or can play but if oyu go to a game for example Mets tickets are cheaper sit in the bbq section its a lot of fun. Im a yankee fan and so is hubby but it really is not that expensive at all and we go every year w/little league and its so much fun. you cna maybe make it on one of those giveaway days. or something.

yeah, a softball game has a better chance of coming off then actually going to a game.

If you pick a Met game, then you tick off the Yankee fans and vice versa

but then look at it as this when the Mets lose the yankee fans can rip them. besides its all in good fun. and doing something together and you dont really need to have enough to play a game just be a certain amount of people. Again I thought this was a good idea. and AGAIN, the reason I say Metds this way people dont have to travel as much and cheaper tixs

ETA: if you plan a game you need to find a location that is good for everyone just like the WOTY

I dont think we can get Yankee fans to Shea Stadium and vice versa. I for one would not go to Yankee Stadium.

it's a really good idea, don't get me wrong

i just don't see it coming off -- if you're a die hard yankee fan, you could give them Met tix for free and they won't go.

That's how I am, I will never pay for Yankee tix. The only way I'll go is if they are free AND someone would be stuck paying for it if it went to waste

thats how I get my hubby to Shea. we go with Little league and if it wasnt for the kids he wouldnt go either but hay just a thought. then why dont you instead of having a softball game just do a BBQ and if you have enough people who show up split into two groups and have a softball game.

T - while its a good idea in theory, unfortunately most fans would rather not go to the opposing stadium. I sucked it up by going to Shea once in my lifetime I've paid my dues -- I'm not eager to go back there anytime soon.

I still think the softball game is an awesome idea, its just the fact that you might have trobule getting people to play. Which is why it fell apart last time (lots of people wanted to go, not too many wanted to play)
