Oooh, those are really pretty! How smushed will the bow get during mailing, though?I just noticed they are by Elite - I just ordered Elite invitations, and I love them! (They were pricey, but half the price of the ones I really loved...)

Re: Holy cow!!!
I agree that you should try to work it into your budget if you love them that much. However, if you can't, maybe you can try to figure out what it is about this particular invitation that you love so much. Is it the paper, the design, the font? Then maybe you can look for something that has that similar look and settle for a less expensive one. Quite honestly though, you may always feel like you settled. Can you skimp on something else so you can splurge on this? It definitely is not an issue of it going into someone else's garbage. I've got my daughter's STD, shower invitation and wedding invitation in a very prominant spot in my family room. I admire them and smile each time I pass them, and I could care less who else keeps them or not. We LOVE them and that's all that matters.
Good luck in your decision.

thank you!!! Thats so good to hear! I loved alot of the ones on that website but those are just my favorite of anything I have ever seen.
Hopefully it wouldnt get too smushed... since its silkish material i think it normally lays pretty flat........

They are gorgeous, but IMO I wouldnt spend the money on them. I would definately put the money towards something else that I either want or need.

I dont know if you read my holy cow part 2 but I can not tell you how many hours my maid of honor and I saw here trying to make that ribbon on another invitation.... they just didnt come out right and the ribbon I liked I could only find in pretty small rolls and it would take alot of money and ALOT of time to re-create them
eta - I know its really stupid but I LOVE the band on the back of the envelope for the return address and how it matches the style of the invitation

From a past bride I would not look at as something that is going to be tossed in the garbage.I think of it this way --- this is the first piece of mail that your guests will receive about your wedding so I wanted to go all out. I think the invite sets the tone of your wedding....
I spent about $1000 on invites plus the mailing which was about an additional $150.00
I thought it was worth it ....

I think I missed Holy Cow part 2
but I also love that band on the envelope! I don't blame you for wanting these! I can see how these would be tough to recreate so I say keep looking for something similar but less $$$.... I'm sure you'll find something you like just as much! Welcome New Vendors
