Re: I'm feeling crafty!!! (my photo cube project)

I am attempting to make one, I couldnt find any of the mats to put inside the frame so i bought a big sheet and spent hours cutting them out, I am going to wait a little to put it together because we have 6 months, but no where to put it

Azad, that looks great!

I am worried now. I already painted and fastened the 8x10s. Is it really too small?

Re: I'm feeling crafty!!! (my photo cube project)

thanks guys!

no galina, i personally didn't think it was, and even if it was, i didn't care! my dad was the one that kept saying it

it's just a suggestion for the girls in the future...but let me tell you these frames were a BIZOTCH! they kept cracking on my when putting the screws in...it was so hard

and see how i have the placemats centered on there, they're really only for 8x10 frames so i have a lot of white in my frames

i'm just glad that part is over

Re: I'm feeling crafty!!! (my photo cube project)

I know what you mean. It really turned out to be a project!!!

I have to redo the 'top' again, new styrofoam and fabrick, cause I kept messing up!

Did you use the hooks to keep the top up?

i'm going to use the hooks to keep the styrofoam up...not sure if that's going to work either though

and don't worry! i'm already onto my third piece of styrofoam

i only bought the first one though, the other two i got from work

Re: I'm feeling crafty!!! (my photo cube project)

Just found this thread- it's such a great idea!! I am thinking of how I'm going to make mine!! Thanks for sharing! Just an after thought- how many cards did it fit? We are having about 200-225 guests I want to be sure they all fit!!

Oooooh I love when this thread gets bumped it brings back such fun memories

Okay, i got the 9x12 frames and we had 120 guests and I'd say it was about half full. Are you having 200-225 or inviting that many because I feel like if you're having 200 they should fit. Maybe?

Another thing you can do is turn the frames horizontal instead of vertical, you may be able to fit more cards in that way!

Just some words of advice...

Prescrew your holes before you drill in the wood screws!! I knew nothing about drilling and I think that's why they cracked!

Also, I went to JoAnns the other day to pick up one of those planter wheels (I am making a box for my friends wedding) and they don't have them right now...not till spring maybe. So I don't know where you'd be able to get that.

Have fun girls!!!

Oh and here is the finished product...I never posted this...

Re: I'm feeling crafty!!! (my photo cube project)

I keep reading this thread over and over and I think I am going to attempt this on my vacation this week. I have the supply list and will be starting it. I love this thread and have to do it some justice my saying....BUMP
Wish me luck and azoodie thanks for this old thread and sharing. Without this I would have never been inspired to do this project. I hope it looks like yours. I love it!
