Then they should know better. I don't know what else to say but have someone speak to them. They may not realize they aren't doing anything. Although the one planning her wedding should know and the others that have been in BPs should know by now what the deal is.

Like Sassy said, now you know who you can count on after your wedding. Don't bend over backwards for any of them. That may sound mean but you shouldn't be doing all the bending for them and them nothing for you. That isn't fair.

I'm so sorry you're going through this I went through the same thing. My bachelorette party consisted of a girl I work with, her husband and her husbands brother. We went to a Mexican restaurant for dinner and drinks. My MOH(my sister) was too busy and my other BM 'just felt like staying home and hanging out with her husband instead' I felt pretty crappy about it for awhile, but wound up having a great time and great appreciation for my co-worker that tried her hardest to make it a great night for me. Don't let others get you down, some people just don't think about others

awwww--i'm so sorry :( You are such a sweetheart and you don't deserve this kind of treatment! I hope it all works out-I guess you just have to realize that you are marrying the love your life and he will never make you feel like this! Sometimes people can just be soooooooo jealous and self-centered that the just go into their world and don't care if they hurt anyone in the process (including the bride)

I am so sorry you are going through this. I went through the same thing with my BM. I don't want to take over your vent but the short version is I almost didn't have a shower, I didn't have a bachelorette party, and all of them missed the rehearsal. Only 2 of them paid for their dresses and my wedding was over 3 months ago. I also asked very little of them and got even less than I asked. I could go on and on. It has taken me until now to to get over it so believe me when I say I understand. If you know in your heart that
that they are not jealous or malicious in any way than they are just plain unreliable and some people just are that way.They love you and mean well but are worthless as bridesmaids. Try not to let it take away your joy. Just know that no matter what you will have the best day of your life.

I'm up for a bachelorette party. Who needs a BM anyway.Your wedding is the main wedding that I'm still waiting for anyway so I feel like a part of it anyway.
I'm sure Sassy and Latina are already planning away anyway so I'm inviting myself.

I'm sorry to hear this!
My BM's are all out of state- so I went into this wedding planning part not expecting a thing. My MOH has done a lot, but mostly the other girls can't do much being from out of state. I went in expecting nothing, not to be disappointed, yet again in life. I do know how discouraging it is to bend over backwards for people & when it's your turn, it is not reciprocated.
That being said, although it is not reciprocated by those you DID bend over backwards for, it is returned by people you least expected it from. Sounds as if you have found your 'angels' on here, as well as I have. I'll bet you have an amazing bachlorette & those other BM's will miss out if they can't make it. Try as hard as you can to focus on the positive!!! It will make it a little bit easier.

(Not being able to take off work? That's ridiculous! We have all developed a little cough when needed)

Its so sad that you have to go through this right before your wedding. Some people just become selfish and start thinking of their own feelings, and not how its affecting others.

Just keep thinking about the wonderful day you have been planning so long for!!

I am so sorry about the whole things with your BM's and I know how you feel. I wouldn't worry about them, we have talked about this many times before. Your wedding day will be beautiful and I bet you b-party will be great. Don't worry, everything will be fine. If they don't want to come than thats their problem.
As for that BM that can't take off the day of your wedding I really think that is ridiculous. She had yrs and she could of atleast asked for 1/2 a day off. Whatever, I guess that is the way I am thinking about it. Just ignore her and make sure she makes it to the ceremony and if she doesn't well all that matters is that you and Ben are there.

I will be here for you no matter what and your sister can come to me for any help that she needs with your b-party.
