Right after the engagement I told my parents it'll be around 25K. Oh, naive was I! For about 225 guests we are close to about 42K now including honeymoon and rings. Thank God both of our parents are helping out.

That doesn't include all the trips home to NY since Oct. I have already been home 4 times and plan to go 2 more times before the wedding.

looks like its going to be at least $40k..maybe closer to $45k

when we first started planning i thought it would be around $25-$30k... boy was i wrong!

thankfully the parents are helping.

Def! We could not have had the wedding we had without our parents help!!

it they weren't helping...i'd wind up with a bbq how poor i am

My sister hqd a nice, non-extrqvagant wedding, altogether it was $50K.

I'd like to spend as little as possible (we're young, about to graduate college..no jobs yet), but I think it'll end up in the $30-40K range

My budget started out at 35K including rings and a Tahiti honeymoon (which is a partial gift from my mom). We are paying for everything ourselves (actually, mostly me) and we are at least 4K over budget already and it might even end up being closer to $45K

It makes me SOOOO angry that weddings on LI are SOOOO expensive

Initially FI and I said 15k and then parents doubles the guest list too 300 invites... I think it will now be about 30k

I started out last year budgeted at 18k without the honeymoon.

Currently I am at 19k estimated. So Im staying pretty darn close on budget.

We budgeted 15K, not including HM. As of today...we are at 16.5K but that includes everthing....from all the stuff I made, bought on ebay, the stamps for invites, tips...everything! If I bought something wedding related....I put it on my spreadsheet. I think I did pretty good

Originally, FI and I had a budget of $15K for 100-110 people. I think we underestimated big time on how much the catering hall would cost. Now, I think our budget excluding rings and HM is going to be $30,000. Thankfully, my mom and his parents are paying for a few of the big items.

We didn't give ourselves a budget. It has worked so much better that way. I don't have to worry about going over. If I did give myself a budget I would have gauged out my eyes because we would have been 10's of thousands over by now. I never knew until I started how much this would all cost.

you for got to add 18% gratuity and tax... it cmes as a surprise...it was over $10,000 for us

who are you using for photo/video..... that seems like an extravagant amount
we are using someone expensive and he is almost half that!
