Guys, you're KILLING me over here!!! I have no voice and I can't laugh because then I start wheezing and hacking up my lungs, but I'm crying reading this post!!!!

And JennRenee, thank you so much for your vote of confidence, but I'm so sick that I can't even see straight right now, let alone think! I'm half-dead typing this and on my way to the dr., but before I go, I wanted to tell you guys that you're doing a great job and I LOVE ALL OF THEM!!!!

OK, LiWeddings, ONE more question:
I see some have posted to different songs. For the contest, do we have to tailor it after the Pina Colada song? Or any popular hit??

I think LIW should pick the winner, some girls are more popular on the boards than others and may not get as many votes..

I like the idea of an unbiased source picking the winner. I agree with Suzanne

LIW please let us know if we have to go with the Pina Colada song or can we choose any other song

Not to be biased or anything -but shouldn't the song just be the pina colada song? After all--it was the inspiration for the contest!
Also-some songs are easier to write lyrics to since it's repetative...the pina colada song is quite challenging!

Here is my addition: This is not an entry by any means, this is just me wanting to play.

I was tired of the other wedding websites
I've been looking for my new addiction, (but now its a sickness)
All the other websites were like a worn out recording
Of a favorite old shoe
So while I surfed the other websites
I met a gal who introduced me to LIW
What did I find here
A lot of lovely ladies with great ideas

'If you want to plan a good wedding
A not get caught out there
If you're not into the dollar dance
If you have half of your planning done
If you'd like making last minute decisions
On the job or at home
Then this is the website you're looking for
Log on here and get away
I didn't think about my job or getting fired
I know that sounds kind of silly b/c I had a wedding to pay for
But me and my MOH
Got it all done in record time
So I wrote out my to do list
Went to see all the vendors
I didn't book on the spot
The visits weren't 1/2 bad

But not getting caught by my boss
I'm not much of an internet addict
I am just in the one site
I got to meet so many great gals, I even had lunch with a few today

I knew my addiction was instantaneous

We laugh at some of the drama and some of the ladies responses

Okay, since my first attempt wasn't to The Pina Colada song, here goes #2.
It's not as good as my first one, but I tried.

I was fighting with my FH
We'd been planning too long.
I wanted a stacked cake
He said it looked wrong.
So when he stormed out angry
I read the paper in bed
In the technology section
There was this ad that I read:

If you like being a princess,
and others think your insane,
If you're not into eloping
If you pray for no rain
If you like waking up and posting
on the boards very late
We're the website you've looked for
LI WEDDINGS ~ your escape!

I forgot about my FH
I know that sounds kind of mean
Though I love my FH
He's not into the planning scene
So I logged onto the internet
and picked a cool log on name
I found my planning paradise,
And I was never the same.

Yes I like being a princess,
FH thinks I'm insane
Wouldn't think of eloping
And it BETTER NOT rain.
Sometimes I wake up with a nightmare
and need to empty my brain
I found the place that I've been searching for
Now I won't be forgetting,
A website I can call 'my home'
And plan a great LI WEDDING.

So I posted an intro,
'Do you think satin or lace?'
I got replies in an instant
I got referrals for my face
Now I'm hooked on this website
