Hi ladies,
Hope you all have a great weekend!
I went to Russo's last night & met with Adrianna for floral & decorating. She was very nice & she actually did not give me crazy #'s. I told her my budget & she told me for what I want & because of Valentine's day she estimated a little higher to be safe & only went up $500 more then my budget price. Which is not bad. I told her if she can give me a week or so to think about it. I am going to go back to the first florist I liked & ask them to make me a sample CP & then see who does the best work at a good price rang.![]()
That doesn't sound so bad- also Russo's is already decorated in many areas so you may not need as much as she thought that you did.
$500 is not too bad- not such a crazy number, you know?

Hi Ladies! I still owe my review and some photos... but have some detailed feedback on a few of the Russo's vendors. High level reviews are:Wedding Ceremony: St. Patrick's Old Cathedral A+++
I loved the Cathedral where I got married - gorgeous and right in NYC! We had the Feast of St Anthony going on during our Rehearsal Dinner and the Wedding right around the corner on Mulberry Street. It was perfect!!!
Florist: Beachview in Brooklyn C-
Great quality flowers but tons of issues and mishaps (delivered to the wrong hotel, late, etc.)
Transportation: Royalty Limos B+
The only reason I didn't give them an A was because they worked my husband over several times for tips!! But they were a great vendor overall and I was very happy with them.
Photo: Twelfth Night Photo TBD
Dom was great. We also had his brother Michael at the reception. Overall I think we are going to have some great shots so I am excited to see those.
Reception: Russo's A++++
Most amazing vendor... We had so many rave reviews and they did a phenomenal job. We were so happy with our reception selection!
Dress: Demetrios / Macy's B
I had an amazing dress and the bustle held well. The tailoring caused some mishaps and we had to do some re-work the day of since the cups were sewed into my dress upside down but it looked amazing in the end!
BM Gowns: Bill Levkoff from RK Bridal A+++
Loved my choice and colors. I had a hard time with flowers for them but in the end did a mix of pale and medium pink roses wih pink wax flowers and thought it complimented nicely!n RK Bridal has the best prices - so I would definitely work with them if possible!!! Their price match got our dresses for a great price and we got free shipping to all my bridesmaids!!!
Makeup: Lia A
I used a L.I. referral and went with Lia without a trial and was pleased. I wished the makeup was a bit heavier and my lipstick kept coming off but that was due to kissing my husband so many times. Overall, I was very happy with the makeup!
Hair: Salon De Quartier A++++
Another one of my best selections. I absolutely loved my HAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And received so many compliments. (UES)
Video: Wild Rose Video TBD
Bill was great, showed up early and I am very excited to see the final product. I have yet to pick my songs though!!!

Re: <3 Official Russo's on the Bay Thread <3
Ok, I ordered my dress at New York Bridal Couture in Staten Island which was one of Russo's vendor. Anyway, today I get a letter in the mail from Russo's stating that they will no longer be a part of their vendor program. Should I be worried? I mean why would they not be a part of their vendors any longer?? What do you ladies think?Keep in mind, I am not getting married until next July and I have only ordered and put a deposit on a dress. Ehhhh I dont know what to think.

Thank you for your mini review it helps brides like me who are still picking vendors. My Cousin got married at the same Church. I think that church is beautiful. I can't wait for you to post some pictures.

Do you love the dress you picked? That is all that should matter. I got the same letter, I went to NY bridal couture on S.I. about two months ago & didn't really like the customer service. So maybe Brides from Russo's told Russo's they didn't have good customer service & that is why they decided not to keep working with them who knows. As long as NY Bridal Couture honors the discount they offer to Russo's brides & you LOVE the dress you picked don't worry why they are not a vendor of Russo's anymore.

HEllo ladies,I am not sure if any of you booked Adriana for your flowers. We had booked her back in January. The other day I called her to set up a meeting and she told me that she could not do our wedding any more do to health issues. Just wanted to let you know this way if you do have her booked you can call her.
Now we decided to go with Flowers by Brian.

Hi Hawks Nest,
I almost went with Adriana, I loved her work but she wanted me to sign a contract & was only giving me an estimated price not an exact price on what the flowers would cost for the day of my wedding.
I ended up going with Dyker Florist designs in bensonhurst, Brooklyn. They made me a sample CP of exactly what I told them I envisioned for my wedding & it was beautiful. If anyone is still looking for a Florist these guys are awesome they are brothers who are young & in tuned with new & upcoming designs for modern brides.
