Hey girls...just wanted to tell you we had our food tasting on Sunday! It was AMAZING!! People always talk about Russo's food but HOLY CRAP!!! We had a great time and once again service was 1st class!

The BEST PART...there are 2 chocolate fountains at vienesse hour! (one milk and one white) I had no freakin idea. I thought it was just 1!

I can't wait!!!

I went to the show on Tuesday and it was basically the same as the last one. This time everyone was set up in the cocktail hour area for the Renaissance room. The showcase was considerably smaller than the last one but still fun The same vendors were there...Bridal Reflections had a gorgeous Eve of Milady on display and there were 3 small tables in the back set up with centerpieces and linens. All in all it was a good showcase and I think there is another one coming up sometime in February.

Wedding is next week...look for my review!!! Has anyone chosen the cake filling yet?....If you have let me know..I chose the chocolate cake with canoli .... I couldn't believe they gave me 3 actual cakes to take home and taste to make my choice!!!!! I love Russo's....

I can't wait for my cake tasting. I'm thinking of doing white cake with cannoli filling but I'd be willing to try as many other flavors they have lol Congrats on your upcoming wedding! What room are u in?

Ok girls as promised here's the review from my sister's party last night in the Florentine Room @ Russo's. We got there veryyy early so we got to see everyone setting up the room and let me tell u girls that they do not leave one detail unturned. They followed my mom's directions to a tee and when everything was set up and ready to go the room looked magical. Since this was the Florentine room (the smallest one of the 3) the cocktail hour was set up in the room itself. It was an identical wedding cocktail minus the carvings and the suckling pig. I don't have to tell any of u that the food was out of this world. Everything from the calamari, to the vegetable rice was delicious.

By the way, our Maitre D , Joe V, was great. we felt like family from the second we walked thru the door. he made sure everything went off without a hitch and was so personable and easy to talk to. i would definitely reccomend him to anyone. We had the penne filetto al pomodor pasta - delicious, argula and radicchio salad - it was good but not really my taste. i prefer a house salad instead of the arugula...too bitter for me. The Menus were personalized with my sister's name at the top and the choices of 11 entrees` - i choose the sirloin. it was delicious - there was no fat at all on the meat as compared to other parties where I've had to really search for the meat because it was covered in so much fat. Onto the cake - she choose a white fondant cake with a red ribbon to match her theme and a cannoli filling with white cake on the inside. we have the first two tiers and I can't wait to get my hands on them....the cake was one of the best I've ever tasted at a party.

Mr. Russo as usual came into the party, went around to every table to make sure everything was going well. Joe the Maitre D informed him that we were getting married next year so he came over and introduced himself, asked us if our wedding plans are going ok, if we're happy with Russo's services so far and to go see him if we ever have any concerns or questions. i think this is why Russo's is Russo's...he is so charismatic and makes u feel like a family member right off the bat.
I also went in and took a peek of the Tivoli Room with my FH because there was a wedding going on and of course i'm sooo curious I needed to see how the room looked. Before u walk in they had a table set up for the placecards and on the table they had 3 picture frames. On both ends were the pictures of the Bride and Groom's parents on their wedding day and in the middle was a picture of the bride and groom. Their placecards were a very cute idea. They had chocolate bars all lined up and each had the name and table # of each guest...I had ever seen that before and it looked really nice. We went in the room and I have to say it looked amazing.

The Tivoli room is gorgeous so all us Tivoli girls have absolutely nothing to worry about. One thing I noticed was the low centerpiecs...I don't remember any details (i think it might have been a candle and flower combination) but it did look very nice. I still think that high centerpieces would give the room another feel but that's just my opinion. all in all i have to say that after last night i have absolutely no worries or doubts in my mind that all our weddings will be magical at Russo's. I met with Kelly yesterday. SHe is so nice!

Anyway, I wanted to know if anyone is using Russo's in house vendors. The pirces that Kelly quoted were pretty high in comparison to others. My sister and cousin are both getting married and between all three of us we've seen plenty vendors and prices.

Does anyone have any feedback on their vendors. I would really appreciate it.

We have booked Paris through Russo's. We also met with Flowers by Brian. His prices seem comparable with other vendors, but i plans on see about 3 other florist before I make a decision.

I didnt use any of their vendors for photo or video.
