Does anyone know what bakery Fox Hollow uses? I heard their bakery is terrible. Does anyone have any feedback/input?

It's Egra Bakery. I personally had great experience with them. I went there about 2 months prior to my wedding and brought in a picture of exactly what I wanted (paid extra as I wanted fondant) and was even able to taste the options that they offered. I ended up choosing two of my favorite flavors and they had them combined together for me. Me and hubby and all of our guests were raving about how great the cake was lookswise and of course tastewise.

just wanted to know what flavors you recommend? (and everyone else too) thanks!

I ended up getting marble base with white chocolate and chocolate cream fillings plus fresh strawberries. I thought that was delicious! When we went tasting I also brought my mom and g-ma and they loved that combo the best as well. Canolli filling was really great too I am just not a big fan of it per se. My husband loved it though.

One thing I can recommend for you not to get is fresh bananas. They turn brown very quickly and end up not looking too appetizing as part of the cake. Tastes great but doesn't look great.

lol, we actually had the fresh banana and french custard as our filling. The bananas did NOT turn brown at all, the cake was beautiful and so delicious!!

BIL liked the cake so much he started snitching pieces of people who had left by then lol

Beautiful cake! French custard is delish I can attest to that as well.

Awesome re: bananas. Egra told me they would turn brown and not look go that's why I didn't go with it. Glad it worked out great for you! ;)

Re: NEW- FOX HOLLOW BRIDES- Question and Answer Thread

Hey girls,

FH and I were just looking over the cocktail hour meu and having a hard time choosing and staying under the station limit. I was wondering if you girls could let me know how many stations are included in your package and for how many guests?

We were offered 6 stations for 175 guests. We plan on asking them to throw in an extra station since we will most likely be closer to 200 guests. In your experience have they been lenient in throwing in extra stations? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

TIA!

Re: NEW- FOX HOLLOW BRIDES- Question and Answer Thread

I'd call and double-check - b/c we are about 175-200 people, and we have 10 stations. The BM told us that normally they say to pick 5 stations, and they do 2 of each. But she said that if I wanted to pick more than 5, they would just double SOME, so that there were a total of 10 stations.

For what it's worth, we are likely going to stick with 5 - our CH is in the restaurant, and I think the flow of the room might be easier for people if the stations are all doubled up. Not 100% decided yet though.

Re: NEW- FOX HOLLOW BRIDES- Question and Answer Thread

I was just wondering if any of the other Fox Hollow Brides are using Royalty Limos. I knwo the Fox Hollow reccomends them. I went today and I really liked the price and the cars. Then when I got home I realized that the vintage car is probably not air condioned and my wedding is in July! Does anyone know of anyone that has used them. I read some reviews that they had ac and some that they didnt and a few that said they did but it didnt work well.

Also what limo companies are you all using? If your getting vintage do you know if they have ac. I just dont want to be really hot and my hair to get all frizzy or blown around from opening the windows.

Thanks Girls!!!

I used Royalty limos and rode to church in a '67 Princess Rolls. The AC worked but it wasn't very strong and I was married on a beautiful day in September.

I would recommend going in a Bentley or in the limo with your girls if you are concerned about frizz, in July, the humidity is enough to deal with and to be honest, you'll probably get a bit warm in the car.

i have 5 stations... but i like more selections in some stations than others so im going to ask when i meet with them if i can split them (like 3 selections from 1 station and 1 from another)

Thanks girls! I agree I am also planning on trying to split some of the stations. It seems like 5-6 stations (10-12 selections) is the average. I guess I will still try to see if they will throw in an additional station or atleast a selection. Thanks again!

Re: NEW- FOX HOLLOW BRIDES- Question and Answer Thread

What is everyone doing about bathroom baskets? Do they supply them? Also, do we share a bathroom with the other parties that are going on? If so, then I guess I don't see the point in buying them. Hmmm

I made up bathroom baskets and put a cute note on it and signed it the 'new mr. and mrs. ____' so people knew it was from us. however, it was not necessary, a lot of the stuff didn't get used.
