Maroni in Northport
The atmosphere is that of a trattoria in Italy (small, crowded), and the food is TO DIE FOR!

Re: NWR: Any cute small, unknown places for good Italian food for tonight..

It is on Woodbine Ave in Northport, its such a small narrow restaurant, you would miss it if you blinked when you drove by. You can get there one of two ways:
If you take Main Street down (heading towards the water), you would have to turn left on Woodbine, and it is the second or third storefront down on your left (skippers is on the corner, then the sea shanty, then maroni)
OR you could turn on Woodbine from 25A (there is a USA ?!? gas on the corner) you pass a stop sign or two then you will see a salon, the bakery, and the Ritz on your right (another good restaurant), maroni is nestled among the next set of stores...if you hit main street you just passed it.

Hope that helps

Maroni's # is 18 Woodbine Ave.
631 757 4500 is the number.
(I just looked at the menu from last night)

Re: NWR: Any cute small, unknown places for good Italian food for tonight..

I just want to add that Maroni doesn't take reservations, and they only have a few tables, so plan on eating early if you go there, otherwise you may have to wait or get takeout.

It's SO worth the wait!
