I commute from Queens to Manhattan EVERYDAY!!!!

I take the bus to the subway thats only 10 mins then the F train to 56th St so thats 45 mins each way everyday

About how long do you commute to get to work everyday? it looks like i will have to commute from nassau county to the Bronx by the zoo everyday and i am PETRIFIED of how long this will take me

hey i work right near wear the bronx zoo is also. i live in franklin square and when i leave it 7:10am i usually get there and have my car parked and am inside by 8:00am. i take the cross island to 95north. and go that way. it is quicker for me than taking the cross bronx b/c when there are accidents on the GW the cross bronx is always crawling! where in nassau do you live? going home it is usually quicker. i leave work at 4 and i'm usually home by 4:45. when i work at night it is even quicker. if i leave at 7:40 i am home by a little after 8. it really depends on the traffic. also keep in mind during the summer there will be a lot less traffic b/c schools are out so it will only take about 30-45 minutes. also when schools are on break. sometimes i am at work and inside within 30 minutes. i personally like the drive b/c i can listen to the radio (i like z100 in the am). and drink my coffee and wake myself up. you will def. get used to it! good luck!!

10 minutes tops...only if there are a lot of double and triple parked cars dropping their kids off. There are 2 schools on the way to the school I work at.

I commute between 2 and 2.5 hours each way. I live off Exit 61 on the LIE and commute into Uptown Manhattan everyday!

it takes me an hour to get to work but thats only bc i started to take the LIRR otherwise it used to take about an hour and 15 mins...On the way home its longer, I get out at 4:30 but if i go home i get home around 6:15-6:30 so about 2 hours, if i go to FH's its just an hour.

we live 1 mile from the office

But we purposely bought a house down the block from the office so we wouldnt have to commute


before we bought our house we lived in long beach and it was 45 minute ride...

and i dont need time to decompress in my car, i love love love not having that ride anymore, and i love not spending so much on gas and wear and tear on the cars

Yeah friday Fh and I went to the meatpacking district to eat, then sat i went out with my friends again to the meat packing district, and got to FHs at 6am so slept until 3pm yesterday and stayed in bed with FH being lazy lol

yeah but i also realized how i am over the whole big club scene, we went to Aer and Myst and its all a bunch of stupid drunken girls who cant even stand, idiot guys, the whole thing is an idiot parade. The lines and all the bs just so annoying...Then on the way home we waited for a cab for an hour in the rain, and all the cabs were trying to charge between $45-75
