I drive. Pre-wedding, I was 8 minutes one way from my job; now, it's about 30 minutes each way

i live in copiague and travel to westbury and farmingdale, so 10 to 25 minutes

I used to work in a school that was about an hour each way..I was excessed last year and now I drive 7-8 minutes and Im at work..It is a dream...FH has a long commute...and its about to getting longer when his company moves to jersey city..LIRR to the Path!~!! UGH poor fh

Just left Long Island City 2-2.5 (on a really bad day) hour drive! Now I work 10 minutes from home...I feel your pain commuters!!!! I took a pay cut, just to not have that horrid drive!

I drive from the city to Melville....On a really good day it's 40-45....but throw in one big accident and it can be 75-90 minutes, if the accident is on the FDR even more.

sometimes 1.5, It depends on what hours i have that day and if the train is going express.

20-25 minutes, I really don't want to travel too far from home and this is one of the reasons I don't make much but I hate the thought of having more wasted time.

I used to live in East Moriches and work in Stony Brook it took with the traffic on Nicols about 45 min each way. Now I am in Selden and commute with FH, about 13 min w/o traffic about 20-25 with, sometime I take the back way to avoid the traffic.

I leave my house at 5:50 am and it takes me 35 minutes to get to work from Wantagh to Forest HIlls. Home is more like an 45 minutes!!

I hate commuting !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I live in wantagh and work in Jericho... In the am its about 25-30 mins and at lunch time it 10 mins.
and going home its 15mins ( i only work 12 miles from home)

Wantagh to Little neck...its about 35 minutes no traffic, but usually ends up being 45-60 minutes b/c of traffic.

I drive and it takes about an hour for me to get to work in traffic. In heavy traffic or snow it could take about an hour and a half. On a no traffic day it takes like 35 to 40 minutes.

my commute now is a 15-20 minute walk. =0)

before we moved though it was about 2 hours each way when all was said and done.

I take the 7:54 train from Baldwin to Jamaica and then take a bus which is a 45 min ride to Bayside so my commute is about 2hrs in the morning and about an 1 1/2hr coming home depending on whether the LIRR wants to work properly that day
