ok so the pullups thing is NUTs, i totally agree....

but was the check thing for real or not? or is that still TBA? if it was 1vs.100 - thats a legit tv show but i dont think they just mail checks to people? you have to ACTUALLY be ON the show to win money. was that just a cover to get her to send over info?

Well, it's still TBD. I'm thinking it was someone or something pretending to be that show.... because you're right, it is a legit show.

She may have gotten a letter or a phone call..... pretending to be that show.

If I see her today, I'll take one for the team and ask!

This is all too funny. I love crazy neighbors. I think you mentioned once that you live in Coram. I teach in that area...Captain Underpants has probably been one of my students. (I'm a Sp.ed. teacher and have seen one too many pullups in my day)

07er crashing
There is a possibility she could have won $5k without actually being on the show. I believe just like many other game shows now 1 vs 100 does a viewer text/call in question where you can win $5 or 10K whatever they offer. They take all of the people who answer the question correctly and then randomly pick one to win the money.
As for giving her SS# i dunno and the pull ups thing is way beyond weird but I just thought I'd give an alternative possibility.

Okay-- Amanda, I have read this whole post twice and I got derailed: Did she actually win the money?? I thought we were still on the thinking that she's crazy?? If she actually won, I would sh*t my underpants!
