so weird.... and it was while he was shooting a documentary, so you know it's on film. So sad...

While I am shocked, I am not surprised. He was taking a lot of risks over the years with all this documentaries.

I remember him being bitten by snakes on TV and having to go to the hospital within 30 minutes or he would die. Or the crocodile who barely missed his hand.

He lived on the edge, loving it.

It is sad for his family.

I am also not surprised, it was a matter of time. He was such a sweet man and it is a tragedy. But, if he were given the chance to do it all over again I don't think he would change a thing. He got to experince many things most people will never do or see, and I am sure it made his life fuller and made him appreciate it more than most of us do. He lived his life well while he was alive and although it was a short life, it seemed full of the things he loved.

ITS HORRIBLE I CANT BELIEVE IT.. HE IS A HUGE ICON IN THE WORLD OF WILDLIFE.. SO SAD AT LEAST HE DIED WHAT HE LOVED DOING THE MOST

I FEEL SO BAD FOR HIS FAMILY.

Very sad, his poor family... this is one more 'accident' that shows people that these are wild animals, not entertainment. They have instincts that we can not even begin to predict. While observing them respectfully in a natural habitat is a wonderful learning tool, attempting to interact with them and perform tricks with them is disrespectful and foolish (JMO)...
