See I opened an online savings as well and they said I can only make 6 online withdrawals or transfers a cycle...is that the same with yours?
ok I am so glad u posted this. I just checked my statements & the most I have done is 4 transactions. I called them up & they did say 6 is the maximum by phone or online. You can do unlimited transactions through an ATM or @ a branch.
I wouldnt leave WAMU though. They are a really good bank. I will probably just move a large sum of $$ over when it is time to pay balances instead of doing multiple transactions.

Yeah see i've done a lot of payments for vendors, like our favors, gifts, and invites through paypal through the savings account and exceeded the limit but I explained to them the situation and they never told me that limit otherwise I probably wouldn't have gone with them..but it's too late now!

Re: NWR: Recommend Your Bank
i had WAMU before i got married, and never had problems with them. now we use Citibank, and they're great. no fees for anything, locations everywhere. no complaints yet. DH has used them for years, so that's why we opened our joint account there.

Re: NWR: Recommend Your Bank
i have commerce, but unlike most ppl on here i am not THAT crazy about them. Its ok when you just deposit or withdraw money but god forbid you have to do anything else it can be a parade. It took them 5 weeks to do something for me that should've taken 2 days. I was very upset about that and i do plan on changing soon. The worst part is that it would've continued past the 5 weeks until i had to sit with a manager on the phone and ask a million questions to see what was wrong bc they couldnt figure it out, and then I had to point something out to them of what they did wrong.

How much did they charge? is it per transaction?
FYI, pay for everything with a cc, paypal does not always make good decisions when u have to dispute things.

Try a credit union. I'm at Teachers Federal and Suffolk, and they hold my car loan.

Re: NWR: Recommend Your Bank
I have my own accounts with Bank of America. I love them. I was with them when there were Fleet. FH and I have a joint account with Commerce and I can't stand it. I feel Bank of America is so much more user friendly (especially online). I have never had an issue with Bank of America.
