NYC BRIDAL BUILDING
I'm planning on hitting the NYC Bridal Building but don't really know how it works. Do you need an appointment? Or is it a walk in kind of thind. Is it totally crazy, are there a million people there? Is it open during the week? HELP!
Hi...looking to find a beach location. Something smaller and more inimate than Sunken meadow. We'd prefer Suth shore. Having trouble geting permisson. Don't want to be forced to leave mid-ceremony. Already have reception plans elsewhere. Any suggestions? Thanks....Lauren
And....how close to your wedding day should the last fitting be?
NYC BRIDAL BUILDING
I work three blocks from the Bridal Building and went on my lunch hour one or two days....and was thoroughly unimpressed. The people were rude, if they came out of the back room at all. They seemed understaffed. Most of the floors I went to had mostly shops that were closed for the day which makes me think that on the weekend, it's different, but I was so turned off during the week that I didn't really want to go back.
Any suggestions for something to do with the bouquet instead of tossing it?
When I was single, I absolutely dreaded going up to try to catch the bouquet. I certainly don't want to put any of my guests through that, especially since most of the single girls will be guests of my fiance's frat bros...I don't even know them well, and I don't want to make any lady out to be a spectacle of humiliation. (Frat brothers diving and clawing for a stupid piece of elastic are another story :-) )

I think that they are only opened to the public on Sat. morning-no appointment needed, you just walk in.

NYC BRIDAL BUILDING
Hi Karen!
The bridal building is only open to the public on Saturdays. However, it's pot luck to who is actually open on Saturday. I went there on the Saturday 2 weeks before Christmas and found "THE DRESS". The offices are very small there and I can see it being a mad house if there are a lot of people. Luckily for me I guess everyone was Christmas shopping because the place was a ghost town when I was there. I actually met a few of the designers and they were very helpful and gave me honest opinions (good & bad). Overall I had a good experience but maybe I was just lucky.
Good luck in your search!!

Did you try to find a headpiece at the Bridal Building also?
Ladies,
Did you bring your dresses to the stores in order to match the color/edging/pattern??? How did you handle it?
NYC BRIDAL BUILDING
Josie,
Unfortunately, I was too into finding a dress to look at headpieces. I do remember some places had headpieces there but I didn't look at them or noticed the prices. Sorry!
Good Luck!! :-)
