I can't confirm, but I'm almost positive that's his last name :sad:

Assault victim barely escapes oncoming train

As though in a scene from an old silent movie, James Tramondo woke from a concussion to find himself on the tracks at the Wantagh train station as a locomotive bore down on him.

Barely conscious, Tramondo had trouble comprehending what was happening early Sunday, he recalled Tuesday. Then he heard people yelling on the train platform.

'I just remember seeing lights,' Tramondo said. 'I heard them screaming, 'The train is coming! The train is coming! Get off the tracks!''

Two strangers helped him escape, and Tramondo was treated later at New Island Hospital in Bethpage for cuts and bruises. But first he helped police find two of the three men he said pushed him off the platform.

Anthony Riggio, 20, and his brother, Nicholas Riggio, 24, who live together in Bellmore, were arraigned Monday on assault charges. Both pleaded not guilty and were released from custody. When reached at their home Monday, Anthony Riggio declined to comment.

On Tuesday, Tramondo, 32, an event planner from Wantagh, still was trying to make sense of what happened.

He boarded the 1:43 a.m. train from Penn Station on Sunday after dining with friends in Astoria, he said. On the train, he chatted with two teenagers while Anthony Riggio and his girlfriend argued nearby.

When the teenagers giggled, Riggio came over and grabbed them angrily, Tramondo said.

'You're drunk,' Tramondo said he told Riggio. 'Sit down.'

Tramondo said Riggio called someone from his cell phone and asked the person to meet him at the Wantagh station. Tramondo moved to another car, he said, and Riggio followed. 'I asked the conductors to get him away from me,' he said. 'They said, 'Don't worry about it.''

LIRR spokeswoman Susan McGowan said the incident is under investigation. Under LIRR policy, police should be called if a passenger is harassed and crew members cannot resolve the problem, she said.

Tramondo said two men met Riggio at the Wantagh station platform at 2:38 a.m. and began punching him.

'I curled myself in a ball and next thing I know, they were throwing me onto the train tracks,' he said. 'I'm not even a fighter. I play at weddings.'

Witnesses called police, who arrived as Tramondo was being helped off the tracks, he said. He said he helped police scour the area and spotted the Riggio brothers leaving a bar.

Still feeling dizzy on Monday, Tramondo went back to the hospital, where doctors said he had a concussion, he said.

I think there was another planning tea yesterday (they mistakenly called me for it, even though I’ve been already). I wonder if he was there, or if any of the girls who did go got the full story?

That is definitely him and I know for sure he gets on the train in Wantagh, seeing as how that is when I initially met him. The people who beat him up are pretty pathetic because it was definitely not like James was going to overpower them.

Wait one second...

That's why I know his name - wasn't he featured on Whose Wedding is It Anyway??? Didn't he used to work with some chick as his partner????

Does he not do that anymore?? I LOVED him on the show though...and if that's the same person - i'm going to request that he be my person the day of!!!!!!!

I commented on another thread about this - but it's horrifying that people would do this. It just really makes me sad for the world that my children will live in...

HI Ladies,

I went to the PWP tea party last night at Chateu Briand (my sister is getting married there) and he went to each table and told everyone why he had a black eye. He did not go over what happened with the train tracks that is so sad.

He still did a great job at the tea party after what happened to him. He did mention he is on Whose Wedding is it Anyway? and Wedding Away.

Same company. The company that was on who wedfing is it anyway is PWP. He works with Monica Scotto, daughter of one of the Scotto Brothers.
