Re: QOTD: LIW pet peeves

OK! Well tonight we are having
---Creamy mushroom chicken with capers and pine nuts
---Leftover tuscan pasta salad with fresh olive oil
---Fresh Bread with olive oil olio
---Fresh cherry iced tea with mint
--And baked apples from apple picking with cinnamon crisp

Cooked by me. Ta da!

No weights tonight so no eye candy. But likely red wine!

Re: QOTD: LIW pet peeves

Me, too - I'm sorry for contributing to any pet peeves - newbie mistakes I have never done this chat thing before anywhere.

Just a question - I don't want to be a pain to anyone - but could you tell what people really think when you ask for vendor suggestions? I asked for hair/make-up vendor suggestions a few times, and practically nobody responded. Was I offensive? I thought that was one of the purposes of the board - to help each other when we're stuck. Now, I think maybe I was being a pain in the butt. Was I?

I am a newbie but it doesn't bother me - but maybe because I do the same thing!

Ok, good! Thanks! If you need help finding a vendor (or anyone else for that matter) - I'll tell you what I know anytime - it's not much - but that's all I have to offer help with!

Edited to say - I think you're a very nice newbie! I meant to type it, but I hit send too fast. Oh, well. I still think it!

When people post pics of themselves for no apparent reason other than to solicit comments about how pretty and skinny they are. I guess they are just insecure, but I don't get it.

okay, after reading the 'What do we all do for a living' post, I change my mind. There is nothing wrong with posting pics of yourself for compliments. There is definitely something wrong with asking what everyone does for a living so you can brag that you spend your husbands money for a living!! (nothing to brag about - I would hide that from you all!) I'm sorry, ladies, I am not TRYING to start drama, but that is unbelievable.

well, it's official, you are definitely obsessed with me, I take it as a compliment.
But FYI, I busted my butt 16 hrs a week for 12 yrs. and it was very sweet of him to take me out of that. I was innocently wondering what all the girls did for a living, and it got blown out of proportion. I think 95% of the girls here are very sweet and real, you really has some sort of anger i cannot for the life of me figure out, im really sorry. you need to let it go.

oh cranesgirl, i am not obsessed with you! But if that flatters you ...so be it!

Let's talk.

I do not have anger towards you, I don't even know you. If however, you knew me you would know I never let anyone get away with any kind of bull-****.

I am perceptive, and I call people out - when I don't like what they say or how they are behaving. I am not a bi**ch about it, I am just candid about how I feel towards people. I have many friends and family who really like this quality in me-I am always myself and never pretend to be anything but. I make friends with very real, honest, down to earth people. I tend to call out people I think are fake and showy.

I have not been mean to you - just honest. You insulted me in my dress thread, and then when I asked you in an FM why that was neccesary you responded by calling me a FATTY. That is mean.

This all started when I told you to 'speak for your own man' in the batchelor-thread where you commented on how stupid men are when they are with their friends. You took it personally, got defensive, then changed your story to say said your man was not that type. Why start the thread then?

I honestly think you like stirring things up and talking obsessively about your self - and that is just fine. IMO you are insecure. And you can think whatever you want to about me - I know who I am. I apologize if I have hurt your feelings at any point and I hope you can let this go.

That was cute. Thanks!! I'll take you up on the offer. We'll make that our mission - not to tick off the entire board. I like that - it's a pretty good goal.

You are both way to sweet to tick off this board! You have to be mean and fake to get the drama flowing.

Aww, thanks. Someone should post a 'rules' for newbies so we know what we should do and should not do. I didn't post for months then finally figured, what the heck. I am grateful for all the advice I have been given... and I just ignore the drama. Love the 05 board the most!

i know your type a lot of talk and no show, if i were in front of you i would absolutely smack the crap out of you, seems like thats exactly what you need, but.... although i am capable thats not who i want to be, you see, im comfortable in my skin, you are such an angry bride, that has to be uglier than a bride smoking in her wedding dress, you have shown you have no class. continue kissing ***, but your true colors will show, atleast im keep it real!! DRAMA QUEEN!!
kiss you.

Thanks. and thank you for the hug. Ok, now I feel better. WHEW. I really thought I ticked some people off somehow. And I never like to do that, if I can help it. See, this is why I really like the 05 board!

Ok, I just edited to say, I'm still thinking your comment was really nice, and so are you. You always seem nice on the boards. I was having a bad day - you guys make it better!

Wow. Ladies, we are adult, intelligent, articulate women who should be able to interact with each other with a whole lot more respect and self-discipline than this. If this is the best that you can do, keep the thought to yourself. We, the friendly, supportive people who are working together to better our wedding planning and just have fun, would prefer you took it elsewhere.

I'm very sorry you feel this way. I am going to move on now. I attempted to clear things up from my end and it was not very well received. I apoologize again for angering you so much that you feel the need to insult me. I will now go back to wedding planning, as suggested by the lovely Deb.
