May 1st will be our 5 year anniversary. Then a ::Cough:: friend booked her wedding 2 weeks before then, knowing full well that we were looking at 5/1. So then we looked at June and somehow wound up in the middle on May 14th!

AHHH! I'll be getting married a year after you! :D So exciting!

We chose May before we were even engaged... I bought a wedding planner and it asked a bunch of questions, what season do you both like, rate them, etc. and we ended on May, for a Saturday... narrowed it down, etc. I was going to go with Nov. 2010 because I felt that May 2011 was too far away (2 years after we got engaged) but it turns out it's working well, although I just want to be his wife already!

we definitely wanted to have the wedding in the summer, so more of our OOT guests could attend. June v. July was a tough decision though.

ALWAYS wanted a fall wedding.....October was always our prime month...we didn't think it could happen since its still considered a 'prime' month buttttttt we made it work!!! Our anniv is 10/10 but the date was booked so we got it for 2 weeks later!

My parents are paying for the wedding and we wanted to make sure it wasn't too expensive for them. Also, there is just something beautiful about a winter wedding

FH and I both love the fall and November was the cheapest out of Sept, Oct & Nov. lol!

We wanted September but all the dates at our hall were booked so rather than waiting longer we opted for August. It's only a few weeks difference so it's not a big deal. Plus we get more sunlight in August than in September

We wanted September as well, but the whole year was booked so we pushed it back to 2011 and we did April cause the weather is getting better and its less then May.

We wanted to get married on a 9...January happened to have a Sat night...and we didnt want to have it be 110 degrees outside...

I am a teacher and we knew we needed to have a summer wedding. August is usually the hottest month of the summer so we decided to get married in the middle of July.

I just wanted mine from the middle of July through first week of August for work purposes (I'm a teacher & wanted time off before & after wedding)...I didn't really care what weekend.

ETA: It's Aug. 6th b/c that was the only Friday night left within that time frame. But I do like the date 8.6.10 b/c it's all even numbers...I'm weird

June was always my favorite month..it's my b'day hehe & FH & I met on the 22nd also so we made our date the 2nd because I didn't want it to be too hot on our day

We did'nt want to get married when it was too hot or too cold. I think it will be a perfect hair day b/c of the crisp weather. Also, less expensive since the maj of weddings area june thru sept/oct.\

It will also be a couple of days shy of our 3 yr anniv!

I wanted to have a month that we could celebrate in betwwen our bday. His is on May and I am in august. I always wanted to be a June wife but couldnt find a reasonable price for a saturday date...so July was offered at a reasonable price I jumped at it and still have something to celbrate between our bdays

We wanted to go on our honeymoon right away, and since I'm in school, it had to be during winter or summer break....I HATE winter with a passion (we REALLY don't get along), so I wasn't inviting her to the wedding. So it had to be summer.....but I get a job during the summer, so it had to be between school and job.......June also happens to be my favorite month and in 2010, the 6th is a week before my 25th b-day!!

Originally wanted October but it has gotten so expensive so that was out. Plus we both work for a school district so getting time off was going to be hard. Then it went from doing Jan/Feb or March/April to keep costs down.

When we realized we could do our summer wedding for spring prices by having our wedding on a Thursday night in the summer we were so happy.

Most of family and friends are teachers so they would be off or others are self-employed. Those who had work said they would rather a Thursday in the summer than a Sunday. They loved the idea of leaving work early and still having their weekend. Also out of town family members would find it easier to travel in the summer b/c of my cousins and school.

If it works for you and your guests i strongly suggest doing a Thursday night, especially in the summer....
