We were originally either going to do December or June because we are both working in academia, and most of our friends work in academia or are in grad school. June was just too out of our price range, and we found out if we switched to January, it would be like $40 cheaper pp in some halls!

We got engaged in late Aug, and I didn't want to wait too long to get married. Most of Sept 2010 was already booked, so we got the first weekend in Oct, which I didn't realize was so popular!!

I did some research and found out that October is the driest month of the year for New York. I don't want it to rain

I read this and thought you said ' dreariest'.. I was like... 'oh no!!'

We chose October because we like the fall...and also because it was one of the only months available at our RH!!!

We wanted to get married on a 9...January happened to have a Sat night...and we didnt want to have it be 110 degrees outside...

we wanted a summer wedding so we chose a month in between both our bdays. I'm June and he is August. Plus July 4th is a holiday so our OOT guest can make it a vacation weekend!
