Rehersal Dinner Location Suggestions

Does anyone know of a relatively nice but reasonable location for a rehersal dinner in Eastern Queens or Western Nassau? We're paying for it ourselves - so budget is a concern but we don't want to do something cheezy either. Our budget is about $500 for 15-20 people.

Any and all suggestions are welcomed!

Rehersal Dinner Location Suggestions

We ended up having everyone at our favorite Chinese restaurant and having soup, pupu platters and then 5 or six main dishes. I wasn't sure how that would be but it was really nice. Everyone enjoyed it and it didn't cost a fortune. This was at Hunan Taste in Valley Stream. There are also a lot of Itlaian restaurants that can be very affordable. Do you have a favorite or special place that's in oyur price range? That makes it even better!

Before moving to Queens, Paul lived in lower Manhattan and I lived in Suffolk County - so all of our favorite places are too far from the church! : )

So we're off to find a new locale....

Rehersal Dinner Location Suggestions

Great place in New Hyde Park called Harpers. They have a great Sunday brunch. Dinner is excellent too. Good service and they don't rush you and they have the space to accomodate a group that size.

So we're off to find a new locale....

I don't know the #. You can get it by calling information. I'm sure it's New Hyde Park. I think Union Turnpike.

The bridal salon will let you know when to come in for your first fitting. I was told by my salon that I should expect to hear from them at the beginning of April (my wedding is 1st weekend in June). But, I got a card last week telling me to come in this Saturday. I called to confirm the appointment & they said that because they have so many June brides, they're starting early. My advice is call your bridal salon & ask.

Don't worry about losing extra weight, you usually go for at least 3 fittings. They can always take the dress in a little more.
