We went with Sunset Harbour in East Patchogue. We got quoted in the 70's for a Saturday evening. Although it is not my dream venue that is what we can afford based upon the amount of people we are inviting. http://sunset-harbour.com/index.php

Re: RH's for under $80/pp or overall cost of $14,000??
I emailed westbury manor and they gave us estimated prices, but they said we have to guarantee 200-225 guest for a saturday.I tried contacting a few other places but haven't heard back yet.
I just wish Majestic Gardens would make one last offer for us to consider, but I haven't heard from them in 4 days, so I assume they are out.

I can only recommend my hall - Pine Hollow Inn. I don't know exactly what they generally cost, but what I paid was DEFINITELY under 80/pp. They work with you. So it's worth checking out. (and that price includes the hall, catering, cake, open bar, and honeymoon suite for that night. You can check out my review tho, I wrote about them on there.

I had my wedding at the Coral House, and LOVED it. You will not be sorry if you book with them. We got everything we wanted for a great price. The food is terrific. The service is impeccable. They did everything right. I'm telling you it is the right choice. Even the pictures behind the building came out wonderful because of the pond. The building also lends itself to some great pictures.

I had my wedding at the Thatched cottage!!! I booked it a year and a half ago pre renovation and got a great price. Im not sure what they want for a Sat night, but I remember it being over 100$ a head. So we went with Labor day!! It was beautiful and so was our bank account afterwards lol NO DEBT.Another place we loved that was SOOO reasonable was the Timberpoint country club. AMAZING rates, good food and so quaint. Good luck!

Re: RH's for under $80/pp or overall cost of $14,000??
so.... we went to west lake inn today, it was nice, I liked the cocktail room and the upstairs, but I was a little iffy on the ballroom, I think the dance floor was a little too small for what I had in mind, but the price was right.we also went to westbury manor (while there, Majestic Gardens finally called and left a message).
I LOVED the grounds, the peacocks, just everything about the outside, the cocktail rooms were nice... I liked outside a lot more. Then we talked price... too expensive and we'd have to guarantee more people then we have coming, but we talked sundays.. I know I said No sundays.. but last night Joe and I were talking and decided.. whatever, if we get everything we want for the price we want then we'll have it on a sunday. So we can afford the sunday and the guarantee on sunday there was less... then she took us into the ballroom... it was a lot smaller then I thought and I was a little iffy on it... now I'm comparing everything to MG, because I love it there, so maybe I should stop doing that.
So we get in the car and I listen to my voicemail... I call MG.
^ my happy face.
We talk sundays in november... WE CAN AFFORD IT AND HAVE EVERYTHING WE WANT!!!!!!!!
So now I'm just waiting for her to call me back about going there this wednesday, SO... I might be booked come wednesday!

I'm getting married at the Metropolitan, and they are going to be doing some renovations. They realize the place is in need some sprucing up. The good thing is it will be before my wedding.
The price is $150.00 to start, with a mimimum guarantee of 140 people for a Saturday Night. Sunday night starts at $120.00 with a 120 minimum guarantee.
What about ChateauBriand or Leonards?

Re: RH's for under $80/pp or overall cost of $14,000??
UPDATE:Well my father decided to 'sit down' with us today and basically laid down some rules:
no leaving the table
no raising your voice
don't argue
don't speak over someone...
ANYWAY... he lists his concerns about a Sunday.. which does make sense, we have family coming from upstate, they'd usually come down friday or saturday and leave sunday, they (20 of them) wouldn't be able to leave monday as they all work, and most of them work together, so it's hard on them. Same thing with my cousins, they wouldn't be able to take off from school and there is the concern of meeting our minimum and missing all these people. And he didn't like November, he doesn't understand how weddings work, he thinks its as easy as it was 35+ years ago when he married my mother, he basically said 'peg, will you marry me?' she said yes, he looked at a calendar, closed his eyes and picked a date, ended up being his cousins wedding so they went 2 weeks earlier. The got married in the front yard of her parents house (now our house) and had the reception in the back yard. He doesn't understand its not like that now, you can't walk in with a budget and demand a date and price, so when I explained this FIRMLY, not loud, but firm.. he left the table saying 'just send me the bill'... then he said he's giving us $5000 LESS then what he originally told us... so I cried.. a lot.
I called MG to ask other prices and dates and.. well it's not going to work. but whatever. I'm so burned out and pissed off over this.
So we went to joes brothers today and I talked with his sisterinlaw and she suggested terrace on the park, which I've wanted to check out, but joe didn't want to drive out to queens. So while he and his brother ran to the store I called... they can do OCTOBER (our original month) for UNDER $14,000! so we're going there sunday on our way home from CT.
SOOOO... hopefully it all works out. If not, it's joe's choice and his choice right now is west lake inn...
SO CROSS YOUR FINGERS FOR US THAT T.O.P WORKS OUT!!!
THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!!!

I paid $80pp (including tax & grat.) at Milleridge on a Sat. PM in Sept. but that was for the Carriage House (smaller than Cottage) Don;t know what the max # of guests is. (we had 75)
