Re: round or square wedding cake?!

awww thanks chicas!! round cake won in the poll but i'll let FH have the final say. i'll pretend it's his choice as for the cheesecake sitting out for four hours, i don't think it'll spoil or anything, but i will def ask the bakery when i meet with them. thanks again!!!

Re: round or square wedding cake?!

I prefer round, however I think it depends on your individual wedding. Square tends to be the new thing -- its more modern and chic. Round is a little more traditional, romantic and soft. My suggestion would be to think of the theme of your wedding -- do you consider your wedding more classy and modern, or more traditional and 'soft'???

Re: round or square wedding cake?!

that's a toughy.... I love the way square looks, not as traditional - but with cheesecake would automatically think round.

I voted for round but I really like both...

I have a question regarding the Cheesecake cake though...

Doesn't it have to be refigerated??? Won't it go bad if it sits out for like 4 hours?

YES!!! my dad is a baker and i've been around this buisness a long time. the cake should be refridgerated, however cheesecake can sit out without flopping for maybe an hour if not in extreme heat.

i would do a smaller display cake and a cheesecake to eat.

Re: round or square wedding cake?!

For cheese cake, I thiink round is better, but I never see a square cheese cake b/4, that make it more special too...

Re: round or square wedding cake?!

i wanted to do somthing different, although I did alot of tjings traditionally, i wanted to add difference & uniqueness to it, so i did square. Villa Lombardi's only did round, [in case you VL or Lombardi's on the sound bride wants to know] square was an upgrade, because all VL usually offers is round.

Re: round or square wedding cake?!

I am doing the round or a bunch of reasons:

I's classic and that's how I wnt a lot of the wedding to be.

It's less money, the square is like $1-3 more per slice

The way I want it decorated, I want it to mimick my dress and the bottom of my dress is round!

Yes, I agree with above posters, a cheesecake is usually round.

Good Luck with FH, hopefully, you'll get what YOU want!
