I'm glad you're feeling a little better this morning, Julie. I cannot imagine, from the pics I've seen of you, that you would look anything but beautiful. You said that when you had the dress on, you felt beautiful, and that's what you should go by. Photos distort things all the time.

As far as not liking the tiaras, there's no rule saying you need to wear one. Look at hairpins, flowers, headbands, etc - I'm sure that once you have all the accessories that are right for you, you will fall in love with the dress all over again.

I feel a little better after a good nights sleep.

I am looking for a new tiara or hair pins today.
I might also get a few back-up necklaces,

And I am also going to look for a really low back bra or corset.

I am hoping that next week when the fittings are complete and with my choice of new accessories I will be happier.

I'm glad to hear you are feeling better today. I just wanted to send you and let you know that I have felt the SAME way after looking at pictures of me and my gown and my first fitting. I got very sad and thought I hated my dress... I think we just have a hard time visualizing what we will really look like that day. And pictures suck. I had to stop looking at mine too other wise I would have gone out and bought another dress.

I am 100% sure that you will be one of the most beautiful brides LIW has ever seen.

Why did you hate it so much? Because the top is loose? That will fit you like a glove after they alter it. I am sure you look beautiful!

Awww... I'm glad you're feeling better today! I'm sure you looked great in it. I think you're just really stressed right now and filled with emotions. If you liked it on you, then that's al that matters... you're pictures will come out lovely regardless!! You are beautiful and will be an amazing beautiful bride!!

this happened to me too- except it was the sample. When I decided to buy the dress- I wanted to take as many pics as possible. And I had the same thing happen..

Then I was talking to a couple of my friends-- and this too happened to BOTH of them-- they hated the digital pics of them in the dress-- and I can say that they both were beautiful and their dresses were amazing on their wedding day. This made me feel better anyway.

I think this is a common thing- and d-pics are not always so great.

I just wanted to add that this exact thing also happened to me too. I was thrilled with my dress until I saw the pics. I called my sales consultant in a panic, I was about to change my mind for the third time and she told me that this happens all the time and if it were up to her she wouldn't let brides take these pics anymore because they always freak themselves out. Have no worries!!

I agree 10000000%!!!! That has happened to me several times. DIGITAL PICS ARE AWFUL! Just when ya think you look good, you see the pics and BLECH! How on EARTH can a digital camera pic in ugly flourescent lighting without all the heavy duty photgrapher lighting and effects make you look as beautiful as you REALLY do??? Your dress is GORGEOUS and you are such a pretty girl...you will look like a princess!

The same thing happened to me - I bought my gown at a sample sale - LOVED IT, brought it home, my MOH came over to take pics and I hated them SOOO much I cried for weeks and weeks - no joke. My MOH takes the world's worst pictures. I finally learned to love my gown - on my wedding day. Believe me, it will look MUCH better on your wedding day, and in your professional pics!

When I first put it on I was so happy. It looked much better on me than it did the last time I tried it on because it f the first fitting. The top is still a little loose... I am wearing cups instead of a bra (becasue the back is too low) and I feel so flat chested. I was still pretty much happy though. THEN I came home and looked at the pictures my mom took. I looked HORRENDOUS. The pictures looked so bad that I had to delete a few of them immediately. Now I hate my dress and I am really sad
I hope next week it will look better

If it's any consolation, my FH said to me, 'I sure hope your dress doesn't make you look boobalicious. Wedding dresses shouldn't do that!' haha

I guess I meant to say when I look down my boobs don't fill the top of the dress.
Maybe it will be better when it fits right.

I felt that way too after my first fitting - but after my second I completely loved the dress. We really are our own worst critics, I'm sure you looked gorgeous - how can you not?

Julie - I am sorry you are sad about your dress. but glad to hear you woke up feeling a bit better about it this AM

Everyone here has give you wonderful advice and I don't have much to add .. But its SO very true about how digital pictures and bad lighting can distort how you look. Once its fitted better and you have your hair/headpiece/jewelry in tact, you will see how you'll TRULY look more clearly.. and I know that you will look amazing , you have a natural beauty that shines

We are our own worst critics... so an 'off night' regarding your self-image, added with the stress of the weeks leading up to the wedding is causing you to doubt EVERYTHING.. (trust me, I only went thru this a month ago .. i was a wreck and agonized over everything!)

You are a beautiful girl .. and on your wedding day you are going to be gorgeous.

I liked in while it was on me. It is now when I look at the pictures that I hate it.
I hate all the tiaras with it too and I don't want to wear one. My mom is fighting woth me telling me I have to.

Fisrt of all - You don't HAVE TO wear anything. And if you're unhappy w/ the 'tiara' there are other options. -
As far as other people looking good in your dress.......keep in mind those are the pictures THEY chose to put on the web for ALL to see, so they obvioulsy used their absolute best !! - And I hate digital cameras b/c they distort everything !!! - Throw those away ! Delete them from the camera !

Your wedding is one of those that are looking forward to see the reviews and see the pictures on LIW because you have been one of the brides that not only has been so helpful to everyone but you have been so open, genuine and sincere in sharing your experiences with all of us. I'm certain that once your dress is fitted you are going to look a beautiful and stunning bride.

Aww Julz!

Don't freak out, look for my makeup trial, everyone that saw me loved it in person, and when my girlfriend compared it to the digital pics, she was shocked, she's like it doesn't look the same and i'm looking at you right now....so hence digital pics can really stink...
I know u look beautiful in your dresss....wait till it fits u perfectly!!

U'll be beautiful no matter...and ur a far cry from being an ugly bride!!

That dress is spectacular!!! You can't help but look amazing in that with your figure! So smile- ditial pic have caused a makeup controversy in my house- see '05 board to see how bad they can look under Makeup Decisions!!!
Just smile= you are so photogenic, it was your casual day pics that made me go with Duet.
